Default Let this be a lesson to anyone purchasing a ticket at the movie theater with a

credit or debit card, MY ADVICE IS TO USE CASH. I just realized after analyzing my account balance that the stupid girl charged me for TWO Tickets at $9.50 instead of one. So i have a additional $9.50 out of my account because of another SLIMY or STUPID CASHIER

why am I having so much bad luck with cashiers in 2008??

Contact the Management of the theater about it, They'll probably reimburse you and give you a free ticket for your troubles. Also, I understand how you feel but calling the girl stupid was uncalled for. There could've been any number of reasons that the mistake happened especially when having to deal with the public in a job like that.

Where I live it's cash only at the movies. I don't like to use a credit card for that exact same reason. It probably was just an innocent mistake though. take Zoneboy's advice and go and see the manager. You might be surprised about how easy it is to resolve.

Yeah, it seems 50% of cashiers dont know what the heck they are doing. A few weeks ago, i went to the movies, and i had a gift card from christmas with $6.50 left on it. I needed 2 tickets, so i told the cashier i will be paying with my gift card, and the rest i will pay in cash. She got the biggest confused look on her face.

I noticed a lot of cashiers who have done this to people i know are usually multitasking (text messaging etc) So if you saw her messing with something totally un-work related she does need to be fired.

You should use cash anyway. Credit is the biggest and most successful booby trap ever invented by mankind.

I've gotten into trouble with a debit card as well. I'd still recommend cash only(for non-emergencies and offline purchases). If you only carry cash there is a set limit and no going over.

that could explain why and how the Hannah Montana movie grossed nearly $30 million, they were cheating people buying tickets with credit cards
