Days: More Firings
I'm not sure if anyone knows this or not, but it was announced a few weeks ago that Julie Pinson(Billie Reed) has been let go. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe she's leaving this month, Feb. My condolences to the Billie fans.
Also, it was announced either yesterday or two days ago that Hogan Sheffer Head Writer and Megan Kelly Assistant Head Writer have also been fired. I'm not even sure if HS firing is legal or illegal, considering he is on strike. That being said, it looks as if Dena Higley might become Head Writer, god help us all if that happens!! So.....what's everyone thoughts and opinions about this? I find it total BS that HS has been fired. IMO, he was Days of Our Lives last hope to surpass '09. We can all thank Ken Corday for Hogan Sheffer's dismissal. |

Wow, I haven't had a chance to see all of Hogan's run on the show, but I think he just HAD to have been better than James E. Reilly's last stint on the show, he just HAD to have been. And I was enjoying most of what I had seen in the past few months. All I can truly say is for the love of God, Days, PLEASE hire competent writers. Please don’t get a head writer who blatantly shows favorites, does no storylines for the other characters, and disrespects show history. Get someone who’ll keep the integrity of the characters and the show in line, and won’t insult viewer intelligence as their potential storylines unfold. Get someone who gives a damn about their viewers. Please, no Dena Higleys, no Megan McTavishes.

The writers strike is supposed to be comming to a close tomorrow, i think thats what i read, so who knows whats going to be happening.
