Default Gimme a Break-The Movie

If they ever made this into a movie (And they might since Hollywood is out of Ideas), who would star in this film?

Because I can see Queen Latifah as Nell.

I agree, Queen would make a great Nell. I could see someone like Dan Aykroyd (with his hair dyed grey) as Chief

I can't remember the names of the daughers (or some of the actresses I'm about to run off ) , but ...

- Sarah Silverman as the daughter that wore the glasses

- Jessica Alba as "The Pretty one"

- The girl from ICarly/ Josh and Josh as the "tom boy" (was that character's name Sam?)

Hey, if it hyped up more dvd releases, I'm all for it. Could see Queen Latifah playing Nell. Would be a great idea. Who could play the chief? Maybe Joey Lawrence could have a cameo playing a neighborhood boy-next-door.

OK, I can see John Goodman as Carl & Queen Latifah as Nell.
What about the girls...
I need actresses names, so I can look them up on IMDB.
What about Simpson & Addy & Joey?

Looked up Hayden Panettiere on youtube (too ditzy).
Katie must appear to be not too bright, but not ditzy.

Katie was the oldest (Blond)
Julie was the middle girl (glasses)
Samantha was the youngest

No Sarah Silverman!!

RE: The girl from ICarly/ Josh and Josh (What's her name?)

Not too sure about Jessica Alba, but she's better than Hayden Panettiere.

Sarah Silverman is 37 years old. Granted, they cast people out of their teens to play teenager characters, but I think being born in 1970 is pushing it just a hair

It's not how old you are, it's how convincing you are to that role.
Look at Michael J. Fox in Family Ties. He was over 21 playing a teenager, it just worked.
How about Ashley Tisdale from High School Musical as Katie?

true, but there is a big difference between someone in their early or mid 20's playing a teen, and someone whose 20 year anniversary is coming up. Sarah and Latifah are the same age, would be very awkward if both were in the movie together and Latifah is Nell and Sarah's supposed to be 16.
