Default Tom Petty's Super Bowl setlist: What's your predictions?

As we all know, Tom Petty And The Heatbreakers will be performing a 4 song set during the Superbowl Halftime extravaganza.

So, what do you think they'll be playing?

I say he's going to open with "American Girl."

Followed by "Don't Do Me Like That," "Refugee," and "Running Down A Dream."

Give me your predictions por favor.

Anyone who gets the setlist exactly right in correct order will win a prize!

Janice, you're in charge of prizes.

Okay, line up, women first. Tom, that dress isn't fooling anyone.

I wish I knew Tom Petty's music better. All I know are his hits. My favorites are, 'Into The Great Wide Open' (LOVE IT), and 'Free Falling'. I'll work on my list.

Not that this matters to anyone but Patriot's fans, and I think I'm alone on this site in that department, but Bill Belichick is a huge Tom Petty fan. They're been asking him about it in local interviews all week. He hates that he can't watch the halftime show. Belichick joked that he'll have to make do with his iPod, which is loaded with Petty tunes.

all the ones mentioned so far are likely candidates, I think "I Won't Back Down" could work as well

I hope Petty doesn't have a new album out, and we get treated to four brand new songs. John, "I Won't Back Down" is indeed an excellent choice.

Petty released "Highway Companion" a little over a year ago and it got several Grammy nods, so it'll probably be another year or two before he puts another new cd out.

I think usually the old timers stick to what the audience knows best for the halftime show, at least thinking back to McCartney, Stones and Prince in the last three years, they all had recent albums out at the time of the Super Bowl but instead performed the classics. I think they're probably told what to perform.

Ahhh that is a great selection. I think they may use that one as a way to tell the fans the players won't back down.

Okay, Tom and the Heartbreakers kicked butt. Let's see what they played:

American Girl

I Won't Back Down - Surpirsed they played that one.

Free Fallin - Good call Irene.

Running Down A Dream

Okak, I got the first and last picks right, But Earlier today i texted my friend with other picks, and I got all of them right except for Won't Back Down.

So i rule.

Tom Petty was awsome tonight. Free Fallin is a personal favorite of mine.
