Does anyone listen to Delilah? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was just wondering if anyone did...she's on from 7-12 seven days a week here in Des Moines Lite 104.1...my girlfriend and I say she's cool yet she has to be fake in some way. I know she can't be perfect all the time because nobody is...but she acts like she's better than everyone else sometimes...what's yer input?

She's pretentious and she talks too much.

Good music, but we could do without her.

My mom used to lover her, I couldnt stand to listen to here though, and my dad calls every guy that calls in with a sappy story pathetic wimps and a whole bunch of other things that SO would censor.

I do listen to her...not so much for the stories (which do run sappy) or what she's saying in particular (although I don't have a problem with what she says), but because as someone who travels a lot and moves from state to state a lot a familiar voice that can be found everywhere is comfortable. Unlike local radio shows or local newscasters, I can be anywhere from Detroit to NYC to Omaha to LA to Seattle and hear the same familiar and soothing voice after a long day. That's nice.

I used to but the radio station here took her off

It came back on another station but it's all static and I can't hear it. I personally don't like hearing her talk to some of the people but she picks out GREAT music! So I love it!!

No. The people that call in make me want to gag. Actually, I don't even listen to the radio at night.

So for a long time I thought Delilah was local lol. How widespread is she? Lots of people here have heard of her.

I can understand that; although I certainly wouldn't describe Delilah's voice as "soothing"...

I actually love sap. Just about anything sappy makes me sigh. But I don't like the way Delilah does it. There's nothing sincere in her voice and it just grates on me.

Never heard of Delilah, only Elvira which is a song by the Oak Ridge Boys..they have a mean bass..Giddyup...
