It's really funny that Alanis (and her record company) went to such great lengths to erase her Debbie Gibsonesque past.
One of the channels (MTV maybe) used to show clips of a concert she performed back then, complete with backup boy dancers. Not pretty.

Wow, I knew Alice In Chains was a glam metal band in the beginning, but I had never seen just how glammed out they were!
I knew that Pantera was definitely glam in their appearance in the 80's, but then, that's what everyone did back then. Once the 90's began, they changed all that to a more hardcore style in a heartbeat. Maybe when Phil Anselmo opens his mouth again, let's just remind him of his pre-1990 past!! ![]() Interesting story about Evanescence, they denied they were a Christian band while allowing themselves to be played on Christian stations and sold in Christian bookstores. Hmmmm. |

I am surprised nobody mentions Sarah Brightman (famous Broadway star and pop vocalist)'s past as a disco singer, she had a hit in 1978 with "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper"

The only one that I was shocked at (the others I already knew) was Alice in Chains.
