Default If Granny didn't care about the money

why did she always want to take her share with her (in a wheelbarrow or grain sacks) when she wanted to go back to the hills. Maybe she cared more than she let on.

Well there's no sense in letting good money go to waste. Just think of the nice buggy she could buy with that and show Elverna Bradshaw who was boss.

Oh yeah, I forgot. She could buy that carriage with the big yellow wheels she always wanted. Big Mouth Bradshaw would be so jealous.

How did she get all that money like that? Did she go and cash a check? Did she evn know how to write a check? Did she just go to the bank and with daw it. Mr Drysdale wouldn't let her do that I'm sure.

Every time Granny would get fed up with Beverly Hills and want to move home she would go down to the bank and demand her share of the family fortune. And Mr. Drysdale would always direct some bank employee to go to the vault to get it for her in cash. I think cash was the only kind of money Granny understood. If he had a given her a check or money order she would of thought he was trying to trick her out of her money.

If it was Jed's money and he gave Jethero 50 cents a week allowence, then how did Granny go and get all that money? Was she able to just go to the bank and withdraw money and did she know how to do it? If Jed gave jethro 50 cents a week, did he give Granny money for food and expenses and stuff or what? Who paid their biils, Drysdale?

I wouldn't say Granny didn't CARE about it....She probably still wanted what was HERS if she was going back to the Hills... PLUS she had to LIVE somehow when she got back home, considering she was going back alone... When they lived in the Hills, I take it that Jed did the hunting and things... I know Granny cooked whatever he brought in, but I dunno if she actually HUNTED, so she's still have to have means of support.

I'm sure Jethro and Elly had a share of money, but Jed still treated them like children to a great extent and likely managed their money.

Granny was a millionaire on her own right. Jed said so in episodes.
