Question What Is America's Favorite Pet?

According to USA Weekend, these are the four most popular household pets in America:

#1. Cats - 82 million

#2. Dogs - 72 million

#3. Birds - 11 million

#4. Rabbits - 6 million

Since 2001, turtles have replaced hamsters in the no. 5 slot.

Even though I like cats, I'm still a dog person.

I've known some very charming cats. But I would have to go with dogs as far as my preferred...

I think dogs REALLY are the #1 favoured pet, however, more cats are kept because of not being able to keep dogs in most apartments. You can sneak cats in fairly easily (I lived with 4 of them and the superintentants never knew until the day I was moving out in both cases). Also, people tend to have more multiple cats in a household than dogs.

(That's why I don't always believe the face value of statistics - they can be skewed - they need to make a footnote).

I love dogs and cats. Dogs are more work though, so we have two cats. Cathie, the second cat from the left looks so much like our cat, Lily. The white cat on the far right looks exactly like our late cat, Foxy.

I know J! I put it up for ya!

When they were puppies, our dogs looked like the "spy"

Keisha looks a lot like your Lily - same colouring, but she's a tortie point so it's more mottled that gives her that "bitchy" look. It's hilarious.

lol - you said 2nd cat from left - I knew what you meant, but that ain't no kitty! It's a Pomeranian puppy. You're right, they are more work, but that has it's charm too if you want to be a "mama" to something. A dog lives with you. You live with cats.

btw - I GOT THE JOB!
