In this episode, Lucy wants an Italian haircut so she tries on a wig that resembles one. When she first sees herself in it at the beauty shop she yells in the mirror with joy "pison!" I don't know if I'm spelling it correctly or not but anyone familiar with the episode should know what I'm talking about. Does anyone know what Pison means? It must be Italian.

I'm Italian so I think I can answer this for ya
Paisan; It's a word that's used with Italians or Italian Americans when informally, but friendly, adressing one another. It means "brother" or "fellow countryman." Shortened from paisano and is sometimes spelled paesan. Sometimes it can just mean "Italian" (the way Lucy was probably using it) or "friend" as well. |

Thanks forever!! I had an idea but I wasn't comfortable to speculate either. And it looks like I was way off on my spelling of it.

Lucy actually said the word "Paisan" in an earlier episode long before that. It was actually episode # 2 "The Girls Want to Go to a Nightclub." As you knoiw, she and Ethel were going through her address book, trying to find two men to make Ricky and Fred jealous. Well, they got all the way to through the book without any luck. They got to the letter "Z" and called Sam Zabione. Lucy said he had to be single, for nobody wouild marry him. Well, Lucy called and a little girl answered the phone. Lucy asked the little girl if it was Sam Zabione's house and the little girl went to get her father, who was Sam. Lucy was trying to tell the little girl not to call her father to the phone. But it was too late. Lucy was shouting into the phone "Little girl? Paisan?" LOL
