2008 Oscars telecast: The memorial tribute

I remember last year when Anna Nicole died it was speculated whether she would be memorialized in the Oscar's memorial portion of the show. Normally when a star dies early in the year, do they wait til the following year to put them in the tribute or do they do it that year if there is time enough before the show? It was also talked abt here on the board whether she would even qualify since the movies she did were pretty much flops.

With Heath Ledger's passing, I would hate to see him NOT be memorialized during this year's telecast (if there is one).
