Default Archie's Thoughts in the current political climate

With the US primaries in full swing, I'm rather proud to think we may be electing our first female president or our first black president. With Clinton and OBama as strong potential nominees I began to wonder what Archie would have had to say about this?

I'm almost sure Gloria and Edith would be excited to see Hillary running and Michael (Meathead) would love that we're finally breaking down walls, but I'm just wondering what interesting reactions Archie might have.

Any thoughts?

Here's what I could envision Archie saying:

Well good night nurse, the Country's going to hell in a handbasket!

And of course at least 2 very very stupid ignorant remarks to top it off.

Archie would hate it. He would probably like McCain for President. Just my guess.

I think he would go for John McCain as well simply because he was a military man and HE LOVES THIS COUNTRY!! Okay, so I had to throw my opinion in there too. He would totally flip out with Hillary and ESPECIALLY Obama! Not just because he's black but because he's a "MOOSLIM" (Muslim) as only Archie would pronounce it. Or something like that. Obama sounds too much like Osama! Wake up folks!

i don't think desilu#1 was giving her opinion on Obama. She was giving Archie's. If you've seen AITF, Archie, to put it nicely, doesn't like black people. And since his name does sound like Osama (you can't deny it doesn't), he wouldn't vote for him. He's batting 2 for 2 (in Archies book)

Oh absolutely. McCain vs. Hillary or Obama of course he would. But probably grudgingly as he would not think McCain conservative enough - in the primaries he would have liked Huckabee or Romney I guess.

I wonder who Archie would say if Hilly became President.

Archie's thoughts on a female president! They would be priceless. He barely trusts Edith to leave her alone every day when he goes to work. And a black president would just put him in a state of shock. I think I can best summarize what Archie would feel about Obama by the episode where he's locked in his cellar (the first time) and a black man comes to bail him out. Thinking the man is God, then realizing he is black, he says:

"Good, Lord, The Jeffersons was right!"
