Default The 2nd Letter 'Hook" Game

Here's how it works:

Someone thinks of a word, and the next post makes up another word using the 2nd letter of the previous poster's word.

Examples:

Here's the first word:

Begin (so next letter would be e)

Let me try to explain it better. There are a few games on this bd where the next post connects to the last letter of the previous post. This idea inspired me to try to set up a new game where instead of connecting to the last letter, you connect to the 2nd letter in the word of the previous post.

Lets say I start with begin. Then the 2nd letter in begin is e. Then you start a word with e--lets say emblem. The 2nd letter of emblem is m. So the next word would start with m.

Hope I explained it a little better. (If this game doesn't fly, well at least I gave it a shot.)

Yes, that's the idea. But it's the 2nd letter in the word.

And please don't apologize for finding it hard to follow. A game should be easy to follow--and if it isn't then it probably isn't a good game.

I'll do a few posts to give you an idea.

I always have a lot of ideas--some turn out to be good and some not. Since I'm often not sure which is which I just put most of them forward. If they work. GREAT. If not, then at least I tried.

I'm going to start the game with the word begin.

BEGIN.

That's ok, i am sure .. A lot of people will know how to do it. I will just wait for other members to play, and I am sure I will know how to do it after they Play it. Sorry about that Richp.

Since the second letter in EMBLEM is an m, than the next word starts with an m.

Since the second letter in MYSTERY is a y, the next word should start with y.

YARDSTICK.

(hope these examples have helped--if not--the game can go into the scrap heap--sometimes you have to try something new--sometimes it works sometimes not)
