Default Even people that aren't like us...

...us being big enough TV fans that we chat on a message board about everything TV....are tired of TV Land!

I thought this was funny. I was driving home tonight listening to the 60s/70s station. The DJ was listing off some of the happenings on this day and he mentioned that it was Lloyd Bridges' birthday. He was, of course, part of TV history in "Sea Hunt." The DJ mentioned "Sea Hunt" and then he said that he wished someone like TV Land would dust that show off and air it because he was tired of seeing "Good Times" and "Bonanza" 84 times a day. I immediately thought of SO and how so many people here have said the same thing. Makes me wonder where these people are that watch this stuff enough to keep it on the air??

Have you seen the new commercials, brace yourself for MOVIE WEEK! They're showing a movie every night at 8pm

Even though I'm not getting cable at the moment, I was tired of seeing the same old shows when I was getting it. You'd think someone would come up with a petition everyone could sign to get a variety of "Good Sitcoms" put on TV Land and Nick At Night.

Now if they were showing TV movies, I wouldn't complain as much.

Just goes to show how out of touch these executives really are.

Exactly. What do you think people who watch AMC would think if their movies were periodically interrupted by half-hour sitcoms?

They aren't what they used to be. I waited a long time to get TV Land and I only was able to enjoy it for about 2 years. Nowadays I barely watch the channel except for the Beverly Hillbillies.

I was angry how TV Land treated Benson. It was on and off that network before I had a chance to blink.

I don't even watch AMC anymore. They ruined that channel too by replacing classic movies with movies that aren't and cutting them up with commercials.

I wasn't happy with their impatience with the show, and just their impatience in general. I think a lot more shows would do well on that station if given a decent chance.

On a positive note, I was able to record a ton of episodes of Benson. I only need one to complete the whole series. Thanks, TV Land!

They must have taken notes from the networks on how they treat new shows. Comes and goes without a chance to even get an audience.
