Author's Notes: I know that a lot of people on here have mainly written fanfics that continue after the episode "The Second Ginger" and I don't blame you one bit. I'm sorry for putting in another fanfic into this board about it but I couldn't resist...enjoy!

Gilligan’s Island: Continual of “The Second Ginger.”



Scene 1.



“Oh, I’m so sorry for all the trouble I caused… I should have hadn’t thought too much of wanting to be like Ginger so much.” Mary Ann said as she began pouring juice into everyone’s cup for dinner.

It had been a day since Mary Ann was back to her old self after she became the “new Ginger.” She finally had an understanding of what had happened to her and felt bad for what happened. The next morning she wanted to tell everyone she was sorry for everything when she was Ginger.

“Mary Ann it’s alright, I’m very flattered that you think so highly of me…” Ginger said with a smile as she fixed her hair with one hand.

“Mary Ann we’re just glad that your back to being yourself again so there’s nothing to worry about it.” The Professor said as he gently patted her back. Mr. and Mrs. Howell nodded.

“Yes, we’ve terribly missed you isn’t that right Thurston?”

“Yes Lovey indeed and we’ve terribly missed your cooking.” Ginger looked over at Mr. Howell as she put her hands on her hips.

“Fish pie was all I could think of.” Mr. Howell was about to say something else but Skipper cut him off just in time to end it.

“It doesn’t matter anymore now that Mary Ann is back.”

“Yes, but eating bananas and coconuts would have been better.” Gilligan added as he came into the conversation. Skipper took his hat off his head and whacked Gilligan on the head.

“Gilligan!”

“Ow, sorry Skipper…” Gilligan said as he fixed his hat on his head. The Professor shrugged, deciding not to join in as he sat down at the table.

“Um, food’s ready when you guys are done…” Mary Ann said as she sat down at the table with the Professor.

“I’m done!” Gilligan said as he headed over to the table as the rest of them followed shrugging the conversation off.

“Like I said, we’re just glad you’re back.” The Professor said as he put some fruit on his plate.

“Yeah, you’re much better as yourself than being Ginger... and I’m much better being myself than being Mary Ann!” Gilligan added as they all laughed and began to eat.

Scene 2.



Next Morning…


Gilligan was walking through the fruit infested parts of the island that wasn’t too far from the huts. He stopped by one of the banana trees a picked a banana off. After peeling it, he took a bite and continued on.
As he walked, he saw Mary Ann walking over to a banana tree holding a basket that she had with her.

“Morning Mary Ann.” Gilligan said as he walked up to her with that same, large smile of his. Mary Ann turned and looked at Gilligan with a smile.

“Good morning Gilligan.” She smiled once more as she looked up at the bananas and began picking them off, putting them in her basket. “I’m planning to make banana cream pie so I’ll need quite a few of these.”

“Ooh, can I help?” Gilligan asked, he had nothing to do and couldn’t wait to have a piece of the pie.

“Sure Gilligan. Go ahead and pick a few of these over here…I’m going to pick some ri-” As Mary Ann was about to finish her sentence she fell into a ditch as she cried out. Hearing Mary Ann’s voice Gilligan quickly went to go see what happened.

“Mary Ann! Mary Ann, are you alright?” He said as he quickly knelt by her side.

“I-I think so…” She looked down at her right leg and tried wiggling her ankle as she winced a little. “Oh Gilligan…I twisted my ankle.” She winced again as she tried moving it once more.

“Here, here let me help…” Gilligan said with a worried expression on his face, putting his arm around her to get her up off the ground.

“Thanks Gilligan, I should have had watched where I was going… oh, can you hand me my basket please?” Mary Ann leaned on a tree so that Gilligan could get the basket. Gilligan nodded as he picked up the basket of bananas and held it out to Mary Ann.

“Here Mary Ann.”

“Thanks Gilligan, we better go home now…”

“Good idea…” Gilligan said as he began helping Mary Ann back to the huts.


Five minutes later...

"Um Mary Ann?"

"Yes Gilligan?" Mary Ann sighed in reply.

"I was thinking, it's best if I just carry you back since I don’t think we’re moving very far…” He turned back and looked to where the ditch was and to where they were. Mary Ann nodded as Gilligan picked her up in his arms.

“Oh Gilligan, I’m so sorry for causing trouble for you again, twice you had to carry me.” She sighed. “Making trouble is all I can do.”

“Don’t say that Mary Ann, carrying you is no trouble at all, you’re light as a feather.” Gilligan said with a smile as he tried to cheer her up. She smiled as she gave Gilligan a kiss on the cheek.

“Thanks Gilligan, you’re so sweet.” Gilligan blushed a little, remembering the last time she said that to him.
Mrs. Howell had planned to get him and Mary Ann together one time. He recalled the words that he had said the last time she said that.

“But you’re… twice more sweeter than me Mary Ann…” Mary Ann looked up at Gilligan as the memories instantly came back to her when he last said that. Her face reddened as she looked ahead.

“Oh…we’re here…” Gilligan nodded, a little embarrassed.

“Yeah… we better let the Professor take a look at this…” Gilligan carried Mary Ann into the Professor’s hut and sat her down on a table and turned around. “Um, I’m gonna go get the Professor…be right back.”

“Wait Gilligan…” Gilligan turned back around and looked at Mary Ann, taking his hat off as he began twisting it in his hands.

“…Yes Mary Ann?” Gilligan’s eyes widened as Mary Ann slowly leaned forward and gave Gilligan another but longer kiss on the cheek. Her flustered face had on a shy smile as she backed away. Gilligan loosened his collar on his neck as he began fiddling with his hat once again.

“Oh…boy…oh, r-right the Professor we need the Professor, right…Professor!” He quickly put his hat on as he turned around and headed for the door. Clumsily, his head first hit the door as he ran outside in search of the Professor.

Scene 3.



“Ah, I see now…”

The Professor began as Gilligan told him what had happened. He quickly examined Mary Ann’s ankle before he put the sack of cold water back on her ankle where a bruise had formed. Putting his hands on his hips he stood up and looked at Gilligan and Mary Ann.

“Well, it seems to me that Mary Ann will be just fine. The ankle isn’t too bad just a little bit swollen, she’ll be back up and walking in no time.” Mary Ann sighed in relief as she absorbed the good news.

“Thank you Professor, I’m so glad that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.”

“Or of what I thought it would be!” Gilligan added. At that very moment the Skipper entered the hut.

“What’s wrong with little Mary Ann? I heard Gilligan shouting your name Professor and saying Mary Ann got hurt or something.” The Professor nodded as he turned his head to Skipper.

“Yes, yes he did but there is nothing to worry about. Mary Ann just sprained her ankle.”

“Twisted it too.” Gilligan added. Skipper glumly stared at Gilligan as he was about to take his hat off but decided not to.

“The Professor just said that Gilligan.” He sternly stated as he held his temper down.

“But Skipper, he just said that she sprained-”

“It’s the same thing!” He shook his head, knowing that was useless to keep this on as he turned to the Mary Ann. “I do hope you feel better, Mary Ann.” Mary Ann smiled and thanked him as he went back out to do his duties.

“Gilligan, if it isn’t a problem I have a job for you to do…” The Professor started as he was about to go back outside.

“Sure Professor, what is it?”

“…Well, I am quite busy right now and I was hoping if you can take care of Mary Ann for the time being. You can help her out with walking or whatever that she needs to do… all until she gets better of course which would not be so long. Can you do that?” Gilligan nodded.

“Sure, I’ll do it.” The Professor nodded as if to say “excellent” as he walked out. Gilligan turned and walked over to Mary Ann.

“I sure hope you get better Mary Ann.”

“Oh don’t worry Gilligan, I know I will.” She smiled a reassuring smile that made Gilligan feel better. “Well now, I suppose we should start to make the banana cream pie if you don’t mind.”

Mary Ann took the sack of cold water off her ankle as she carefully got up, putting all her weight on her left foot. Gilligan quickly went over to her as he put one arm around her, helping her get over to where the kitchen was.

As the two walked on to the kitchen Mrs. Howell caught sight of them from her hut. She clasped her hands together and turned around to face Mr. Howell who was sitting on his bed counting his money for the fourth time this week.

“Oh Thurston! You will never believe of what I saw!” She quickly motioned for him to come over at once. Sighing, he obeyed.

“Ah, yes Lovey what is it?”

“Thurston dear, look! The two are together after all!” She pointed out the window where Gilligan and Mary Ann slowly made their way. Mr. Howell looked at the two, noticing that Mary Ann was limping.

“Lovey dear, I’m afraid to say that you’re wrong. Gilligan is only helping Mary Ann walk, she must have tripped or something…” Mrs. Howell shook her head, objecting of what Mr. Howell had said. She looked back out the window as her eyes seemed to light up.

“No Thurston, he’s more than just helping her…he’s showing love to her.” Mr. Howell rolled his eyes, knowing of what was coming up next as Mrs. Howell continued on. “See the way they have their arms around each other? Oh isn’t that so romantic?”

As they disappeared from view Mrs. Howell turned and looked at Mr. Howell. Her eyes filled with excitement. Mr. Howell lowered his head, he was right of what Mrs. Howell was about to begin…once again.

“I have a brilliant idea Thurston…we’ll get the two together once more!” Mr. Howell quickly looked up, quickly searching for something to make her change her mind.

“Lovey… we’ve already did that and it was a failure! A failure! Can you believe it, a Howell that has failed!” Mrs. Howell shook her head in disbelief.

“Now, now Thurston, we we’re amateurs back then. This time we’ll make it work.” She gingerly clapped her hands as she thought of many ideas to get them together. Mr. Howell could see that getting to her wasn’t working. He had to think of something else quick.

“Uh Lovey, I do believe that I have an idea of getting them together.” Mrs. Howell looked over at her husband as she clapped her hands in excitement.

“Ooh, what is Thurston?”

“They can fall in love the old-fashioned way, and by that I mean by letting nature’s course go by. That is how I got you now, didn’t I?” Mrs. Howell shook her head with a smile.

“Don’t forget the rubies you gave me deary, the rubies as well.” Mr. Howell clapped his hands as he laughed, forgetting that part.

“Ah yes, right you are Lovey that was the other part of how I got you. Ah, but we’re talking about Gilligan and Mary Ann right now. They aren’t the Howell type of people so they don’t money or jewels; thank goodness, so it’ll be cheaper.” He happily took Mrs. Howell’s hands in his. “Just give them time to get together…you’ll see.” Mrs. Howell smiled as Mr. Howell kissed her cheek.

“Oh, all right I’ll wait…” Mr. Howell waved his hands in the air with glee seeing that she changed her mind. He went back over to his bed to recount his money as Mrs. Howell looked back out the window once more as her smile widened. “But not for long though.”

“Oh, you did such a wonderful job Gilligan!” Mary Ann exclaimed clapping her hands as Gilligan set the two banana cream pies on a counter in the kitchen. He smiled that same large smile as he took a chair and sat down.

“So how’s your ankle?” He looked over at her ankle that was seated on a chair with the sack of water on top of it. She smiled and shrugged a little.

“I say it’s doing fine.”

“That’s good.” Gilligan replied as he settled down in his chair.

“Oh Gilligan, you did such a good job on the pies…” She smiled at him sincerely as she picked up one of the pies. “You know, I say that we should eat this one together. I don’t think the others would mind eating the other one. Besides, it’s not everyday you could eat something made by Gilligan himself.” Gilligan smiled, happy that Mary Ann had given him another compliment as he went over to get a knife and fork.

“Oh boy, I can’t wait to try it.”

“Neither can I.” Mary Ann added as she began to cut a piece of the pie. “Oh, Gilligan we need another fork for you too Gilligan.”

“No, that’s okay Mary Ann. I could use the knife and you could use the fork. See?” He took the knife and the pie as he finished cutting the piece Mar Ann was doing. Mary Ann sighed and slowly shook her head as Gilligan stabbed the piece numerous of times, trying to pick it up.

“Gilligan, here.” Mary Ann said as she gently took the pie and used the fork to pick up a small part of the pie piece. She lifted the fork up in front of Gilligan. “Just take a bite.”

“Thanks…” He took a bite and ate the piece that was on the fork. He lightened up as a smile formed once more. “Mmm, this is good! “

“Oh, that’s good to hear…I’ll try it too.”

“Yeah, oh, I’ll cut a piece for you this time Mary Ann.” Gilligan quickly did so and held the fork up in front of Mary Ann. “Say ‘Aaah’.” He said with a smile. Mary Ann laughed as she opened her mouth.

“Aaah.” Carefully, Gilligan put the fork in her mouth as she took the bite. “Mmm, this is good.”

“Yeah, it is.” Gilligan nodded in agreement as he cut another piece and fed it once more to Mary Ann as she gradually took it. “This is fun to do.”

“Gilligan, thanks for your help. I feel so grateful that you are helping me out.” She smiled as she started to get up to put away the dishes they used. Gilligan stood up quickly to help her out.

“Here, let me help…” He said as he helped her clean. “I don’t mind.”

Mary Ann smiled to herself, she didn’t know why but she had a weird feeling of nervousness even though she was acting like her regular self. She didn’t know what to call it. Her smile started fading as she went deep into thought of why she had these strange emotions.

“Yeah, so what else did you had in mind Mary Ann?” Gilligan asked in his usual tone. He waited for a reply but instead heard silence. “I think you’ll need to speak a little louder, I can’t hear you.” He turned around and walked over to her. Seeing her face he realized that she wasn’t listening.

“Mary Ann?” She blinked a couple of times getting out of her trance. She looked up at Gilligan, quickly putting a smile on her face.

“Oh, um what is it Gilligan… I didn’t hear what you said?” Gilligan looked down at her with a worried expression on his face.

“Do you feel well Mary Ann? Was it the pie I made?” She shook her head as she managed to make a laugh.

“Of course not Gilligan… I-I’m perfectly fine.” Gilligan blinked as he looked down at her hand.

“But your hand is shaking…” Mary Ann looked down at her quivering hand as she bit her lip.

“I-I guess it’s just the cold air…” Gilligan made an awkward face as he looked out towards the area.

“Even when it’s summer?” Mary Ann shrugged.

“I get cold in the summer too?” She asked as an excuse. “Well, I got to get going... I forgot to do the laundry… yes, the laundry…” She quickly turned around as she tried to hop away but only to get a hand that held on to her wrist in return.

“Oh no you don’t…” Gilligan said as he stepped right in front of her. “Mary Ann…what’s wrong?”

They stared at each other for a moment until Mary Ann sighed, feeling regret.

“I don’t know Gilligan… I honestly don’t know.” She sighed once more as she slowly leaned on his shoulder, her face looking down at the ground. Gilligan stayed quiet, feeling a little awkward as they stood in silence. Slowly, he took hold of both of her hands with the two of his as he put a smile on his face.

“Hey Mary Ann. How about we do something fun… it’ll make you feel better.” Mary Ann looked up with a sad smile.

“Oh Gilligan… you always find ways to cheer me up…” She shifted a little as she, hesitantly, kissed his cheek. “Thank you.”

“No problem…” He loosened his collar as nervousness took over him. “Oh boy… today’s a pretty hot day, huh?” He said as he hesitantly looked around. Mary Ann quickly nodded as she shifted once more.

“Oh yes it is…very.” She hugged herself as a gust of wind passed by. “Or not…”

“Uh yeah… I guess that hot day ended… oh, uh, want to go explore?” Gilligan quickly said as Mary Ann nodded.

“Yes, exploring sounds fun to me right now.”

Mary Ann turned towards the direction of the jungle as Gilligan quickly went by her side to help her. The two blushed as Gilligan hesitantly put an arm around her.

“Ah… let’s get going.” Mary Ann said as they quickly shook their heads in agreement.

“Yeah, good idea.”

Author’s Notes: Ooookai! The end of Chapter 3. The pages kept getting longer and longer so I had to end it some where. Oh, and don’t worry I’ll try to get Ginger into the story hopefully on the next chapter.

I'm not sure how I missed this story for the past two years, but it's super cute! I guess it's never getting finished, but I'm curious to see how the author would complete it!
