Found this bit on wikipedia, for all it's worth:

When the FBI started pursuing Poulsen, he went underground as a fugitive. When he was featured on NBC's Unsolved Mysteries, the show's 1-800 telephone lines mysteriously crashed.

Wonder if they've got plenty of production insurance and onsite wranglers for when the show will go back on the air. Especially with all the different ways to communicate the information, it's not just through a 1-800 telephone number now. Will they set-up text messaging, live message boards, hopefully update the website?
