Help remembering a case

I havent seen it in almost 20 years and I don't recall seeing it in Crystaldawn's ever-growing boxset-but does anyone remember some kind of faith healer, witch doctor, etc. that pretended to reach through the 'patient's'
skin and remove 'cancerous' material (which was dyed red cotton balls)...
....Wondering if someone has anything to add because I remember it being quite an interesting scam.

I do remember that one although I don't know if I have it on tape. It seemed it was called "psychic surgery". It seems like they used chicken parts to act as human organs. I think they interviewed a man whose mother had fallen prey to it and later died. I can't remember if they were ever captured, maybe someone else here remembers more.

I too remember this story, but I only have vague memories. The thing that I remember the most is that one of the victims was a woman who was suffering from cancer. Her son was a reporter and set out to expose the doctor as a fraud. However, the mother refused to believe her son and they stopped talking. Tragically, she soon died without ever reconciling with her son. I also remember that there was an "update" at the end saying that the doctor was still on the run and to please get in touch if you have information. I remember thinking this was a strange update, since they rarely, if ever, update the story just to indicate that the fugitive is still on the run.
