I think Queen Latifah is a cool lady, very talented.

What I like best about her is that she seems very comfortable in her own skin. She's a plus-size woman, yet walks with the confidence and sexiness of Angelina Jolie, as she should. Her smile can light up a room. She's seems like the type of person who would be a blast to hang around with. These quotes of hers are classic:

"I wish every woman would love herself and embrace what she was given naturally." -quoted in WOMAN'S WORLD, (6-7-05)

"I am not one to turn down macaroni and cheese, even late at night. I love Italian food. I love pasta. A refrigerator full of water and Gatorade? Honey, that's just not gonna happen." -quoted in WOMAN'S WORLD, (6-13-06)

In 1992, her older brother, died in an accident on the motorcycle that Latifah gave to him as a gift. He was a police officer. She still wears the motorcycle key around her neck. He never lived to see her meteoric rise to stardom. That must weigh so heavy on her heart.

I think she's a terrific actress. I loved her in Beauty Shop, Chicago, The Last Holiday, and more recently, she just won the Golden Globe for HBO's, Life Support, which was fantastic, and well-deserved. That role also earned her an Emmy nomination.

I don't know much about her singer career, but I hear that she really had it going on big time before she concentrated more on acting.

I read recently that she's gay. I think people here know me well enough to know that, if true, it's a non-issue. Still, I'm nosy, lol, and wondering if she has a partner. I don't recall her being photographed or being involved with a man. She's obviously a private woman, in that regard. That's certainly her prerogative. It doesn't mean I'm going to stop wondering about it.

Any Queen Latifah fans out there? She's so versatile, in that she can make you laugh, make you cry, sings, even dances a bit. She's come a long way from being Dana Owens, working at a Burger King in New Jersey. I think it's safe to say that she's here to stay for a long time.

If i had children i would much prefer queen to be a role model of their's than angelina jolie, that women look's like a crackhead!!

I am a HUGE Queen Latifah fan. So is my boyfriend. He always comments how beautiful she is. He rarely says that abt any celeb that appears on our television screen. She has it going on! I love her work and her music. I love how she came out with her last album and used her name Dana Owens. She is unique, she is vibrant, she is proud of her looks, her curves, etc. She doesn't give off any vibes that are negative. She seems so down to earth and I my wish is to meet her one day and tell her what a great spokesperson she is for various things she does, I love her underwear line CURVES. I have a rather large chest and I found that her bra line works so well for me. They are comfortable, they are so pretty and they actually HAVE MY SIZE!
