A young teenage kid told his dad he was going out hunting at night with his shot gun. He never came home, and his body was found out in the woods a day or two later with his shot gun beside him on the ground and he was hanging from a tree. Does anyone remember this case or know if it was ever solved?

His death was ruled a suicide, but needless to say his parents didn't buy it. They believe he was murdered. There has been speculation that he came across some illegal activity, and was killed to ensure that he didn't report it. But to my knowledge, that theory hasn't been either proven or disproven. |

Yes! THat's it. Thank you Kane! As I recall from the segment. Norman was shot, and blood was found on a rock under some leaves. When the medical examiner looked over his body he said it was suicide. I don't buy it either. From the angle the kid was shot, it was virtually impossible to shoot himself and be found in the position his body was in. Plus his shot gun was found at a weird angle, not consistent with someone who just used to shoot themself in the head.

One of Norman's friends has posted here in the past. I used to think this case was an accident or a suicide until I heard that Norman's driver's license was discovered in New York after his death - a fact not mentioned on UM.

Well, if it was drug related then maybe the sheriff knew about the activity and was afraid to go after the drug dealers.
I never thought it was suicide and I highly doubt it was an accident. Too many odd things for it to be anything other than foul play. |
