Yeah, I thought it would be interesting to start this thread, itsd be awesome for the people who have no idea of all what happened from 2000-now.. Ive only been here 6 years and a month and know a lot, but some have been here the whole time, so help me in this peeps


A few key moments that others can and should elaborate on

2001-2: The Nancy McKeon Craze
When FOL came to Nick at Nite and The Division came on, Nancy McKeon had a HUGE cult, to the point where saying you didn't like her, made you an outcast, and hating her made you worse than the worst person in the world.

2002:Nate Bush
This was also the year RainMan came, some loved him,while others hated him,most did, his constant threads about Last of the Summer Wine, writing letters to the cast,vagina M&Ms,sending him money, his AIM chats that no one wanted to be in, LOL I was in some.


2003: Pics in sigs gone,fights, Dorothy and her countless usernames, I wouldnt be surprised if one of the current most posting members is actually her, come on Mikey, spill the beans )
Anyone who was here before summer of 2003 knows that pics in sigs were allowed. That chnaged,mostly because people would put too many picsi n their sigs ( me in 2002), too big of pics in sigs, and lots of text,and ascii art and blends,marquees, blinkies, some sigs as long as an enitre PAGE), members even threatened to LEAVE because of it , there were fights too, mostly on Chit Chat, so many, Random Posts was closed for a while, who can forget that whole BrandonSex Pervert ordeal?
Ah yes, Dorothy, great name eh,sounds like she was a great person right? WRONG A MUNDO! She was mysterious, she had like 7547545459475903 screennames, got in fights with people, some people arent sure if that was even a girl. She was a WEIRDO, more than that actually. I last heard that she is registered under the name Mikado (KIDDING, KIDDING LOL) ), but it was also the start of the original 4 random groups, The HD Mafia, The Night Owls,Crystal's group,and the Party Thread people.

2004: Invasion of the Pre-Teens, Trolls, Fights, People Leaving
In 2004, it started a whole new era of pre-teens, soem of hwo are now 15 and 16, actually most were FULL HOUSE fans, now theyre not, people were annoyed by them, and everything, Thats So Raven board invasions by the Charkony gang, Trolls like I am Him, HankNick, OU812 and omega 2 and tons more. More fights, parody threads leading to fights, Free AKA thread, some people leaving and making a new board, political argument BS, etc.


2005: New Board, Miss Golden, Chuck E Cheese threads:
Not much in 05, except the new board, Miss Golden and her wanting to crossover this board and some wrestling board. The constant Chuck E Cheese threads, TERRI ALDEN HATER and her beauty queen threads, and not knowing if she was a guy or girl.



2006: SMURFTRACTORS!: The HD gang is BACK IN ACTION, as the SMURFTRACOTRS, and our American Idol obsession, writing American Idol: The Sitcom, new members, members leaving etc. Chit Chat changes in a BIG way

2007: Same stuff as late 2006: New members,we were mostly on MSN, etc. etc.


2008: We're back! and what could happen next We dont know

Is Mikado Dorothy? Is Monika related to Holly? All that and more on the next

Don't forget that TJ closed the politics board for about a year. I don't even remember when that was anymore. Maybe 2005? I know it was open through the end of '04. Then he reopened it, but kept it out of sight to the general public. You had to request access to the board yourself for it to show up on the page.

God, I don't even remember anymore.

And yeahhhh, 2004 was CRAZY. I was here the whole time and it still boggles my mind. As I recall, Janice was appointed CC moderator that year. So she had a LOT of work on her hands... Kudos to her for all the hard work!

Since I haven't always been a member here, I admit out of boredom it's fun to read some of the old threads and discussions. I think it's a good way to get to know your board members.

that is SO ironic. for the past hour i've been looking through my old posts and collecting some of the best ones to post as a myspace blog.

i hereby declare 2004 on this site, the year of sarah. because that was when i pretty much ruled this place with my sheer randomness.

here's a post i made in 2005 that could be relevant to this thread.

heh, remember when everyone threw a tantrum and claimed they were going to leave the boards just because images were disabled in signatures?

(if this were "family guy", a flashback of everyone whining and yelling at TJ over the "deaths of their siggys" would appear, and there would be no exaggerations or extra satire thrown into the scene because it's hilarious enough as it is)

or the time a certain elizabeth montgomery fan left and said she was about to shoot herself and told another member that she wanted her dead all just because this 'villain' made an LJ and sort of role-played her?

(flashback of the two members speaking in their posts made towards each other during holly's last few days here, only this time there is a bit of exaggeration to the extent that would not have been surprising; in the background, the song "last resort" by papa roach is playing on holly's cd player and she is shown crying, mascara running down her face, and cutting her wrists with a chain saw, and next to her is a suicide note she had just written that reads: "to everyone on sitcomsonline.com chit chat message board - as i slide the chainsaw down my wrists, i become farther away from all of you stupid people and closer to liz, whom i've never had any interaction with whatsoever but love with all of my tortured heart more than anyone i actually know. i hate you." all while kristina is playing with a yo-yo and trying not to laugh)

Ummmmm no, I've never had any other username than Mikado....and I'm all Guy! In fact, not only is my adult pic in some threads, even my baby pics are in here, and they show ive never been a girl!

nate...lol
lots of people getting banned
fights over avril lavigne
"blinkie" craze

2003:
the random and politics (originally called "war in iraq") boards are added
nate is banned after the "porn attacks"
images in signatures are disabled
and craze
the whole holly/dorothy drama (update: dorothy still posts occasionally as "strawberry cupcake")
sara and her countless usernames
josh9125 causing trouble on the random board

2004:
holly freaking out and leaving
ericidlefan controversy
imnotsarah2007's short visit here
my insanity
arrival of the preteens
parody threads
the craze (brought to you by none other than me ) and the addition of it as a smiley
"that's so raven" board invasions (ironically, i decided to invade that board while the happy days people were doing the same, without knowing they were already there)

a few long-time members stopped posting in september; i think only of them actually announced that they were leaving, but i presume the others did as well

hah well it was in 2005 that i started to get a life outside of this board (and i suppose grow up a little). so not only have my contributions of chaos and randomness seriously declined, but i'm not as aware of what else has been going on. but yes, i used to totally rule this place.

2003---a new member called mr roper arrives at the board.

The fall of 2003-John Ritter died. The whole board was in mourning. I remember all the threads about him and just about everyone had a John Ritter avatar up. It was so sad.

AH..............................2001 and 2002. Those were the times! I remember good old Nate and the Nancy McKeon wars. What fun times we had! Oh and remember Cara Oatmeal? I think that she changed her name at least 6 times but she never fooled anyone. She was a trip and was banned.
I just have to say that this board has been so much fun even though I don't post as much anymore. Thanks TJ for the memories!
