Default How did Supermarket Story end?

Can someone post a brief recap?

Who was that guy that knew Doug, and how did he know Doug?
Did Carrie manage to find some way to cook Thanksgiving dinner?

I was watching up until the Doug was crank-calling the other guy's cell phone.

Thanks!

The episode ended with Doug, Carrie and Arthur buying "Lovely Thanksgiving Dinners" (Carrie decided not to cook)

They never explained who the guy was or how Doug knew him, but near the end of the episode, Doug apologized to him and invited him over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Doug getting busted abt the phone call was funny.

Was it me or was Carrie's purse missing in the next scene? Doug had her purse when he made the crank call and the next scene, neither Doug nor Carrie had her purse. It wasn't in the grocery cart either. Is this my first goof I notice on KoQ?

It looked like it may have been in the cart, but then it seems to disappear.
And right after Carrie steals the woman's cart, Doug enters - purse in hand.
After he and Carrie 'round the corner, the purse is gone again.
Good catch, Irene.

How about the beginning of the ep.?
When Carrie is looking for a parking space. Seems a little balmy and green for Queens in november, dontcha think?

And watch "the guy" and his checkbook.
Here's the link

He throws it down into his shopping basket and a split second later
it is back in his hands, open, and he has a pen in his
hand ready to write.

Is there a thread here on the KoQ forum where there are mentions of other goofs and flubs? I would love to see them.

i found the ending of this episode really annoying, not finding out who that guy was and how he knew doug. the start of this episode in the carpark is hilarious though.

I liked that the episode left us in the dark. That is the feeling Doug was left with, so why not share us in that feeling? The way Doug was feeling annoyed at not knowing the guy, that is what the writers did to us.
