Default Strange Murder/Disapperance Case

Does anyone remember the Leticia White murder and the disapperance of her boyfriend Lee "Dub" Wackerhagen & his son Chance? This has always been a weird and mysterious case to me. I did a little research on the Texas Missing Persons Clearinghouse, and Dub & Chance are still missing. I think the kid saw what happened on that fateful day, and because he was a witness his father kidnapped him so he couldn't spill the beans. But one thing that confuses me is that the segment said that Dub's pick up truck was located a few days later with blood found in the cab of the truck, also all of the Christmas gifts he purchased were also found in the truck along with a shot gun. Also his family has said that they don't know where he is or haven't been in contact with him at all or given him any money so he can stay on the run for all these years. That is why I think he's dead and his son is dead, because you can't be on the run all these years and no one know where you are? If it were me I know I would at least contact a friend or my brother or SOMEONE! You also need places to sleep, money, food, clothes, etc. And you would think that if he is alive and went to apply for a job that when someone ran his SSN he would come up as a missing person? Someone over the years would have had to have come in contact with him at some point, also you need a valid SSN to get anything accomplished these days, to open a bank account, for loans, credit cards, major purchases, etc. Don't you think someone would have come in contact with him at some time when he tried to purchase something and when they run his SSN find out that he's wanted by the Texas Police and alert the authorities? He is wanted for the murder of Leticia White, and as everyone knows there is no statute of limitations on murder! Does anyone else care to comment?

I'm not sure about whether Dub did it, or if they are alive or dead, but I do think it's possible for someone to be on the run all this time and not be spotted. Criminals on UM do it all the time. Dub could have easily made a new identity or be living right under the radar, maybe doing work that doesn't require filling out an app, submitting ssn, whatever. It's very possible, especially if he's in a foreign country, or heck, Mexico!
Just my 2 cents--what's everyone else think?

I have been torn on this one, if Dub didnt do it, than you have a killer who for some unknown reason, broke into the house, took nothing, killed three people and took two of the b odies to give the impression Dub did it. Dub was a very large man and would have taken minimum two people to move his body, I dont know, I think the odds are Dub did it, whether it was pre meditated or not is another story.

My opinion on what happened, Dub and Letricia got into a fight, Letricia told him the gig was up and that she was kicking Dub's sorry rear end to the curb and Dub snapped and decided if he couldnt have her, no one was going to have her, and he killed her. They had a history of fighting and from what has been said about Dub by all accounts, the guy wasnt sweet as apple pie and was known to be highly paranoid and have a quick temper and that he was one that could fly off the handle quite easily.

He then took Chance and disappeared. I dont know what it is about Dub's family, they just rubbed me the wrong way, I wouldnt be surprised if they were helping Dub, because, I just dont think he would have been able to make it on his own this long without being captured unless someone in his family was helping him.

Chance is profiled on doenetwork.org, it also features pictures of his father. Case File 637DMTX.

there's a warrant out for Dub's arrest, so the authorities think he's alive and guilty.

Like mentioned above, it's probably easier than we think to remain on the run, especially if you slightly change your appearance or something like that. Even just losing weight can alter how someone looks. I think that Dub being the killer is the most plausable situation, but if he is in Mexico or something like that, it would make him pretty tough to find
