Mariah Carey has denied rumours that she and fellow diva Jennifer Lopez are feuding.

The 37-year-old singer has denied reports that she refused to do a duet with J-Lo.

Carey said the remarks were "sad" and a "complete untruth".

She told People magazine: "This is just some internet gossip and it's pathetic that people actually entertain the thought that this could be real.

"This is another sad example of two strong women being pitted against each other."

There's no fued simply because Mariah doesn't care anymore. Considering Grave urr I meant Brave has sold less than 150,000 copies, it's hardly like she's competition anymore the way it was in 2001-2002 when Lopez was seriously giving Mariah a run for her money.

well, I know Dupri has been pushing for a Mariah/Janet duet, and I think there is just as huge of a gap, especially since Janet is known to whisper and mumble

My husband loves Janet Jackson. That girl can really belt out a song when she wants to, and she was quite the performer. Some of her slow songs are very pretty too. She's talented.

What's TRL? Hardcore fans are going to defend their own. That's the way it usually goes. Even so, that is a silly thing to say. Mariah is known for her range.

As for this non-story, Mariah denied it, so what's to discuss? A rumor that's been proven false? But I'll play along. I can see Mariah doing a duet with Jennifer. Mariah is the better singer, but Jennifer has her fans and success in the field of music. Unless Wikipedia isn't accurate here, and I checked a few stats, I'd say J-Lo has done okay for herself. Mariah and Jennifer would certainly look great performing together.

Jennifer Lopez is gorgeous and multi-talented. She has millions of fans, just as Mariah does. I don't get the hate. Irrational hate for person for no reason can only mean one thing, jealousy. I don't care for many performers, but to HATE a person who never did a thing to hurt me, no way.
