Default I know it's only been two episodes but I'm not really liking the DAD

He is just to annoying because of his negativity and on top of it he is not even a FUNNY NEGATIVE character. Just to grouchy for me. This maybe only because I only watched the first two eps and may feel differently in a month. I felt the same way about the BENNY character on George Lopez and ended up liking her the more I watched the show.

He is not grouchy. He has "issues"... He is not all there. That is what makes him funny. He will say some funny sh*t that shouldn't be said by a "normal" person. He is always like this, so be prepared. He has some definitely funny a$$ moments. That is what makes this show so damn funny.

Benny is different. she is a b*tch. She is mean and doesn't know how to love. There is nothing mentally wrong with her. She is just mean and rude. Arthur does love Carrie and will show a soft side at times.

I didn't like Ed. It was like he was trying hard to be funny. Or actually, the writers were. Grouchy was taken too far there.

Arthur is different. Like I said, he is not all there mentally. He needs to be taken care of.

The sister will disappear like Chuck Cunningham on Happy Days.

The dad is pretty much the third star of this show. You will see him. There are episodes that center around Doug and Carrie of course, but there may be a moment or scene where you will see Arthur, like on the telephone or something. He may have a storyline going on with just himself and some outside character while Carrie and Doug have their own storyline going on.

For example, you may see Arthur out and abt, like in a coffee shop.

I hope so. If it came down to watching GEorge Lopez show or King of Queens...HANDS DOWN, King of Queens. It grows on you and it is friggin' hilarious. I can't wait for you to see the episode abt the stripper pole that the Heffernans get in their bedroom.

Arthur is one of the main reasons I love this show.

As the seasons go on, he's absent for some episodes. The first season, he's in all the episodes. I forget the count, I have it somewhere (yes I count how many episodes a character is in). But he was always in the show, he'd just miss some episodes in the later seasons.

The one thing I don't like about KOQ is that besides Doug and Carrie (and mostly Arthur) everyone else is just recurring. They're in all the seasons, but not all the episodes.

I think that is what kept the show from going stale. It kinda gets annoying seeing the same co-stars all the time. I mean, we see different people coming in and out of the lives of the Heffernans and it keeps it fresh. I missed Holly at the end though, that was hard. But having the rotation of characters kept it real and fresh. I mean, it is nice to see tv characters have different people in their lives.

I loved when Lou Ferrigno came on the show as HIMSELF. He was the new neighbor.

I guess that makes it more like real life. I mean I don't see my friends every day, just here and there.

But I'm the opposite from you on this. I like the cast members to appear in every episode that they are credited for. Sanford and Son did this too. Other than Fred and Lamont, everyone else was just recurring. The only difference is they weren't all listed in the opening credits like the KOQ cast members are.

I, too, like Lou Ferrigno on the show. And while I liked Richie, I'm glad that Danny became a regular once Richie was gone. I did miss his "hey, Moose" once in a while, though, lol.

Yeah, Deacon, Spence and Richie. Although Richie's only in the first two seasons and one episode from the third season. Danny (Kevin's brother, on the show he's Doug's cousin) becomes a regular in the fourth season. But he has been around since late in the first season.

We see his friends in some episodes and in other episodes we see maybe only one, it just rotates. Impossible to have ALL OF DOUG'S FRIENDS in every episode. Some episodes had only Doug and Deacon. Some dealt with Spence. Then later you see some other friends together as a group. It is just like real-life, you don't have all your friends together.
