Madderest Some people just have NO class!!!

At work this morning, I run into this mother who's dropping her kids off. She looks at my stomach and asks, "Oh, are you having a baby too?" (A couple of women here are expecting.) I just stared at her and said, "No." She just smiled and said, "Oh, you're just a little chubby then!" and walked off.

I know I have a few extra pounds on my stomach, but I am NOT FAT!!! I wear a size 4 or 6 and my doctor assured me at my last physical that I am perfectly healthy and normal. Why do some idiots just assume that someone who has a couple of extra pounds on them is pregnant? This woman isn't too skinny herself. Plus, she has a reputation of being a tactless moron. Still, I'm a little pissed off right now

I'm so sorry to hear that, Kristen. Yes, that was very rude and uncalled for on her part.

It's amazing how many people out there lack basic manners. I know I shouldn't let people like her get to me, but it's still so hurtful. I've never been stick-thin, but I've always tried to accept myself the way I am.

I'm sorry, Kristen. That is just such a terrible thing for that woman to have said to you. There are so many people in this world these days that need to learn to keep their opinions to themselves.

Remarks like that are very easy to take personally.

I'm sorry that happened to you. You're a size 4 to 6. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. She's probably just jealous or a nasty person, or a combination. Try not to let it bother you. She needs a lesson in manners. I would never comment on a woman's pregnancy unless I was sure she was pregnant.

You should have asked her if she had a "bouffant hairdo", and when she said "no", you could have answered, "Oh sorry, i guess you just have a fat head, then!" ( ok, maybe that wouldnt be right, but, at least you could think it )

Stupid b****. Even if someone is pregnant its none of your business to ask anyway. It must have took all you had to not punch that classless b**** in the face. Next time she says something to you, think of a good comeback to tell her.

that is just uncalled for. people like that woman are just rude. i'd say that if she has nothing nice to say about you, then she should've kept her mouth shut

i think i would have said, "no, i'm not able to have kids". then she'd feel like the toolbag that she is and maybe she'd think before she spoke the next time.

I feel so bad for you Homerific. Listen to me sweetie, you have it made. 4-6! Do you realize people pray for that. Just think of it this way, you are the better person. You have to feel sorry for people who are that ignorant and if she is any type of person she will apologize. Maybe she will come around and apologize but even if she doesn't just hold your head high because you could always be her.
