Now that is creative! The best I ever came up with was pulling a belt really tight around my waist so I could get a stomach ache and not be lying (got that one from my best friend when we were 8).

Now it sounds like a scene out of Andy Griffith.

This kid is a scene from King of Queens!! I can see Dougie pulling that one but glueing himself to the refridgerator instead.

I got my feet caught in one in grade 11 Marketing class. One of those old big "art" desks where they were steel and the shelf underneath was open on the opposite side. I sat with my chair tilted back and my feet shoved in the shelf during class. When the bell rang, I couldn't get my "Cougar Boots" out of there. My teacher sat there laughing at me and left the class for a good 5 minutes before he came back and got me out. (Don't get me wrong - he was a great guy - just knew I was class clown and was getting me back).

This all reminds me Cathie, of the time at school that I was glued to a fence...by my tongue.....The first winter that I was in Kindergarten, some big kids dared me to lick the fence....the frozen steel fence with my wet tongue...needless to say, it took the crossing guard (and a few trickles of blood from my tongue) to get it off.....You might say I left a little part of myself with the school that day!

Too funny! You're a cross between Lucy, Laverne, with some Elaine Benis thrown in for good measure!

whatever happened to the good ol' days of sticking your finger down your throat and vomiting so you could stay home? It never worked with my mom, but my dad fell for it at least twenty times (my parents worked odd schedules so one day it would be my dad fixing me breakfast and other days it would be my mom, because my mom was a nurse and worked several nights a week, so on nights when she worked, my dad would be allowed to go into work later so someone would be home hwen I got up).

Gluing yourself to bed would sound so painful
