Default Hospital food

Hospital food and staying in there for a few days.

I hate staying in hospitals and hospital food, there food really sucks,I know they have to do the 'diet thing' but,at least season the food, I may have to stay in our loal hospital may need an operation, but I really hate there food. But, when I am in pain they do give good pain medicine shots. After a few sec,u don't feel a thing.

Hospital food does suck!,I don't if you can request seasonings. But,I remember the times when my aunt was in the hospital. She was allowed
allowed to have Ms.Da*****hat stuff smells horrible but it made her
food better since she was a renal patient and couldn't have salt.
Maybe it depends on your dietary needs. Ask your dietician.

Hope your hospital stay is a short one. You can always get friends & relatives to sneak you in a little food, we've done that a few times.

Ha!,I did that when my dad was in the hospital back in 2002. I snuck
in half a BK Whopper and some french fries. He ate that and he gave
my mom his hospital food. Which was some nasty looking chicken casserole.

theres some things that arent too bad but yes overall hospital food sucks, I've snuck food in as well, many times espically when my grandpa was in like all summer 2 years ago, felt so bad for him. Then he made me eat part of the hospital crap so it look like he ate something

LOL I've done that before. Man, the food there is crap.

Not that I ever have actually been in the Hospital outside of the day I was born, but my Mom's been there several times and made me eat the nasty food they try to pawn off on the sick people there.

Thank God I've never had to stay in a hosp. but I've heard how ghastly the food can be. I always call before I visit and ask what I can bring. When my friend Bill was in the hosp. I brought him rice pudding and milkshakes from his fav. diner--it was OK for him to have this & he really enjoyed both.

Actually as long as you ask and are on a "full diet" you should be allowed anything. My parents used to bring me turkey sandwiches, butterscotch pie and submarine sandwiches from my favourite place and nobody said anything. My and my roommate even ordered a pizza one night and they let us.

In one hospital my mother was in, it was a heavily Italian populated area and you should have seen the meals that would be brought in - it smelled delicious all the time there. Drove my mother crazy because she was stuck on a soft/clear fluids diet only.

When I was in the hospital with Lor and Lillian the food was good. Well with Lillian after the 24 hour liquid diet it was good anyways.

Yeah,I felt so bad for my aunt the times she was in the hospital. Sometimes
we'd forget to leave our snacks and drinks behind when we went into
visit her and I can remember her begging for a taste of our snacks or
a drink from our beverages. And her nurses would tell us to leave.

I work in a hospital kitchen and even if I didn't work there I would say we make great food, we have people come up to us and tell us how well they liked the food. We make stuff like- Lasagna, Mac & Cheese, Teriyaki Chicken, Roast Beef, a great German pasta dish called Mock Verineka (it's allot like Ravioli but the dough is thicker and it has a ham gravy over it) and for breakfast we have great pancakes, biscuts with gravy and the French Toast we make we make with Texas Toast. We even make great desserts like- Pinapple upside down cake, Great Fruit and Cream Pies, Butterfinger Dessert, and we make a great Pumpkin Jelly Roll. I don't like my food seasoned with allot of salt so this stuff is just right for me and even most of the employees that eat our food don't really add allot of salt to it.

I hear the food is good at the hospital in the town where I live.
Well, That's what my friend's mom says because she works there as a
bookkeeper. She says her favorite is the chicken noodle soup and sandwich
plate and beef taco salad.
