Recognized by Guinness World Records as the smallest police dog, this 2-year old pot-sniffing pup made her first search at the age of 6 months and has completed hundreds of missions since. Dan McClelland, of rurual Geauga County in Ohio is happy to let his sidekick, an 8-lb. Chihuahua-rat terrier mix have the spotlight. Even skeptics have come to accept the smallest addition to the force, who is still learning new tricks (like how to detect cocaine) and unlearning bad ones (like turning on the squad car's siren & spotlight).

Geauga County is the next county from mine, and I've heard quite a bit about Midge on the local news. Cool story, huh?

Yes, I've heard about this little dog - fantastic huh?! Just shows that size doesn't matter!! lol

Glad to see they've got a bulletproof vest on him. Unfortunately not all police dogs get them - they're funded by donations only. So whenever you can, give generously so they can be protected!

Great story! (I might be a little biased; I have had two Chihuahuas in my lifetime. One of my favorite breeds.)
