I recall a segment in the show about a guy who was a brutal rapist. He would target women in shopping malls. He would case the stores right when they opened, or around the lunch hour and make sure the store clerk (who was always a woman) was alone. He would go in pretending he was looking for a particular item, and when the woman was caught with her guard down he would tie her up and attack her in a stock room in the back of the store. He was described as a clean-cut looking guy who always wore a business suit and a tie, and sunglasses. Does anyone remember this one?

No he was never caught, at least UM never aired an update, so my guess is no

I have followed this case pretty extensively, and, to the best of my knowledge, he was never caught. However, the rapes stopped after the UM segment aired. I have often wondered what became of this man. He was a serial rapist and probably unable to control his behavior, yet he never reoffended that we know of. Perhaps he died or was imprisoned for another crime. In any case, good riddence.

Well, if this guy isnt dead or in prison, he is raping, he is a serial rapist, they might be able to stop for a period of time but they never stop completely and so my guess would be the UM segment probably scared him into hightailing it out of the Boston area and he probably moved to a different part of the country and continued raping people.
