Hey was wondering why did ALF's voice changed? When the show first started ALF sounded totaly diffrent then he did later on in the series. Was it another actor that did the voice of ALF when the show first started?

Producer Paul Fusco was always ALF's voice. But he changed it after the
first few episodes. |

I've noticed it too. Alf's voice sounds different for the first couple of episodes, when you compare it to the rest of the series.

I think Paul Fusco did the same thing with Alf's voice that Dan Castellaneta
did with Homer Simpson's. If you listen closely to Homer's voice in the first few episodes, it sounds very different, somewhat deeper. I think in each case, the actor raised the voice to a slightly higher register. Anyway, in both cases it seemed to make the character more appealing to listen to. |

If you watch the cartoon "Ed, Edd and Eddy", you will also notice that the voices are different at first.

They're not as good in Swedish as in the original English. A lot of the humor is lost in translation.

That's what I thought too.
Hmmm, the cartoon series never came to Sweden, did it? |

No, it didn't came ro Sweden. But I have watched it.
Its ok. but not as good as the sitcom. Some people maybe think ALF had different voices but it was the same all slong. Even though he sounds different in the first episide, I so still hear its him.
