Default If John Ritter Was Still Alive I Think Joyce And Suzanne Would Have Made Up By Now

I Think If John Ritter Was Still Alive That He Would Have Got Joyce Dewitt And Suzanne Somers To Make Up And Forgive.
Dose Anybody Agree?

I totally agree, it's odd they still aren't speaking after Suzanne leaving, I guess time will come & they will mend whatever split them up. I thought John's passing would bring them back together. Look @ some interview where someone asked Joyce about reuniting but she had to get up. I wish they would settle their differences, I mean it's been too long!

Maybe, maybe not...but if John Ritter had come close to death but hadn't died I bet for sure they would all three be on speaking terms again.

I'm not so sure. The fued was over 20 years old at the time of John's death.

I'm not sure that anyone except the insiders really knows either what happened back then, or what exactly the relations between DeWitt and Somers are now. In any case, I suspect any so-called feud is by now mostly a matter of two very different people, who were it not for the show would likely not have been close, choosing not to associate with each other, since their world-views have nothing in common in any case.

I don't know but I wish they would get together and talk about how they feel. John Ritter and Suzanne Somers did and John said that he is glad that
he reconciled with her. John's exact quote was: "It was emotional but it was very cleansing. It's harder to keep your fist clenched tight than it is to open it." He also said: "We all grown a little older and a little wiser hopefully."

I was really surprised that they didn't get together and do something special in memory of John's death. Couldn't they put their feelings aside and do something for John Ritter? They both agree that they enjoyed working with him. Why couldn't they get together and talk about him and Joyce let Suzanne know how she feels about Suzanne's leaving and Suzanne let Joyce know how she feels about her. It will mentally healthy for both of them to do so.

I would have loved to see Joyce and Suzanne come out on stage at the emmys the year after John died to do some sort of tribute but it never happened. I honestly think their's probably something to this feud that the public doesn't even know because it just seems silly after all these years. I doubt they'll ever really make up and it's too bad because they made comedy history.

I don't think so. It's been 25+ years and they still haven't made up and sadly, I don't think they ever will. You'd think they would have made up when John passed away or even when Suzanne was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, but it never happened. Joyce seems to harbor a lot of hard feelings towards Suzanne and IMO she's the one who isn't willing to forgive and forget cause I've seen Suzanne on talk shows over the years and people will ask her about the feud between her and Joyce and Suzanne doesn't seem to know why Joyce won't speak to her and said she doesn't have a problem with her.

If I were Joyce I would feel the same way. Suzanne is an selfish bitch! She was asked to do a tribute to John on the Three's Company DVD Set and she asked if she was going to get paid for it, so when they said no she said she wouldn't do it. I can honestly say I totally and completely HATE Suzanne Somers with a passion!! If it weren't for Three's Company her ass wouldn't have a carreer. She was a nobody before that!

Yea i think so to I would've thought when John died it would've been a wake up call to both of them that they need to put all this nonsense behind them.

I don't think they would have made up if John Ritter were still alive. Its been so long, and they didn't make up after his death, so I really don't think it would have happened if he were still with us.

I used to be very angry with Suzanne, and I'm sure my old rants about her can be found on this board, lol. I've since forgiven her, and think that she was actually a trailblazer for women. Male actors were demanding and getting more money back in those days. I think she went overboard in her demands. I've read that she regrets it, and would have done things differently.

These days, I think Joyce is wrong. To carry a grudge this long is more painful for her. It's often said that you should forgive a person for yourself, not for the other person. It takes emotional energy to stay angry, and when you forgive, you release yourself from bitterness and negativity.

I have a feeling that there's more to Joyce's hard feelings towards Suzanne than what happened on Three's Company 28 years ago. I think Joyce may be jealous of Suzanne, because she went on to have a nice career. Suzanne also has a long marriage, a son and a big family.

I decided a while back that my being angry at Suzanne was senseless. It was over and done with, and I didn't want to be like Joyce, nursing a grudge. Then again, she didn't hurt me. Remaining angry and bitter doesn't do anyone any good. This concludes our lesson on forgiveness, lol.

I agree with you that holding a grudge is bad, but I really don't think Joyce is jealous of Suzanne. Maybe of her marriage, but not of her career. Joyce didn't want to be in the spotlight the way Suzanne has been which is why she disappeared for a while after Three's Company. She's more of a private person. I've actually been lucky enough to exchange a few letters with Joyce and she's a very wonderful lady, Suzanne on the other hand is still quite selfish and greedy. I can never forgive her for the way she acted when asked to pay her respects to John.
