Default Does anybody know...?

I was wondering if somebody could help me out on this, for I am drawing a blank on this one. Does anybody remember the episode where the girls are sitting at the kitchen table and Sophia is about to make a comment on something that was just said, to which Dorothy takes a fork full of cheesecake and puts it in Sophia's mouth and says, "Cheesecake, Ma!"? Also, does anybody remember certain episodes offhand where Sophia would be in the middle of sayings something and Dorothy would cut her off when she was about to get to the best part and be like, "MA!"? These are inside jokes between my best friend and I. Whenever my friend and I are together with other friends and we know what the other one is thinking and/or what they're about to say, we'll say, "Cheesecake, Ma!" LOL Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

It was usually centered around Blanche. When ever there would be a great come back on one of her sexual stories or comments.

I believe "Cheesecake, Ma!" might have been from the ep where Blanche's daughter Rebecca wanted to have her baby in Miami. Blanche said something about her having a "reputation in this town," which caused Dorothy to shove cheesecake into Sophia's mouth to prevent her from speaking!

You're right, Barbie Doll! IT was usually centered around Blanche! LOL Those were those "golden" great moments for me. There was one episode where Dorothy did it with a cookie instead of cheesecake. She didn't say anything, she just shoved the cookie into her mouth to shut her up. There was one that I distincltly remember and it cracks me up each and every time I see it. It's the second episode where Blanche's brother, Clayton visits with his boyfriend. Clayton and Doug (I believe his name was) announced that they are going to get married. The thought doesn't thrill Blanche and she is venting to the other girls about it. Doug and Clayton come into the room, unbeknownst to Blanche and they overhear her. Clayton says, "There isn't anything I wouldn't do for Doug and I know he'd bend over backwards for me!" LOL As soon as Clayton says that, Dorothy has her arm around Sophia and quickle puts her hand over Sophia's mouth and pulls her close to her and hugs her VERY tightly and hard! The audience is going wild and she says "Sometimes I just want to hug my mommy" or "I just love to hug my mommy!" LOL

Hi, Kristen!

Thanks for your reply! Do you know what season that episode is from? I think you may be right about the episode! It sounds about right. I really loved when Sophia said something out of line or was about to, and Dorothy knew better to let her mother get a word in edgewise. I loved when Sophia was in the middle of saying something or just finished saying something and Dorothy would be like, "MA!" She wouid say it after Sophia was finished with what she had to say or in the middle of it. It caught Dorothy so off guard! LOL

A quick check over at TV.com tells me that "Blanche Delivers" is the first episode of Season 6. I'm almost positive it's the one you're thinking of.

Glad I could help!
