That is the most popular show to watch, no doubt, but is there anybody going to watch something else to ring in the new year?

I hope to spend the new year way from a computer/tv screen. Every year I've spent it like that. I think it might be appropriate to ring in 2008 in a different fashion. I haven't figured out what yet. But it will be spectacular.

So you don't consider Dick Clark important to the new year? |

I'm going to be out @ a party where's there's no TV--so I'm not watching anything New Year's Eve. Also I'm going to be @ the party early helping to decorate.

I plan to spend it the same way I do every year, alone with junk food and a movie.

I never watch anything on New Year's Eve. I'd rather stare at a wall than watch a bunch of annoying acts parading around a stage.

it all depends on who the musical guests are, whoever I like the best is the show I watch. I would be interested to see how Dick has improved or not this year tho, last time he was on TV, it was heartbreaking seeing him in the post-stroke condition because he has defied age and has been so energetic for so long that to see him weakened without his voice yet restored was really hard to watch.

I went bowling one year on NYE... when we got to the bowling alley, it was December 31, 2001. When we left, it was January 1, 2002. That was pretty cool... I'd like to do that again tomorrow. But I might end up just staying in instead.

We usually put the tv on at 11:30, then watch the ball drop. We haven't gone out in years. Too many drunks on the road. We may have my friend and her husband over for Chinese food, but they live only 10 minutes away.

The Dick Clark thingy is sad to watch now. Hearing him talk just reminds me of him having had that stroke. Thank goodness he survived but it just isn't the same. I went to bed at 11 p.m. I was too damn tired from lack of sleep the night before.

I did watch Dick Clark but only for the countdown. He does sound better now than he has the past couple of years. I went to my cousin's house for a New Year's Party when DC first came back. All of us were shocked watching him, but he sure has had a lot of guts soldiering on the way he has.

it's sad that he hasn't really improved much at all since he first came back to TV two years ago. One of my dad's friends had a stroke a few years ago and he's back to somewhat normal and the voice is back to how it sounded beforehand

My family and I watched the countdown last night. That's what
we do every year. And then the adults toast with champagne while the kids, teens and the younger adults who aren't old enough to drink yet toast with Kool-Aid,Hawaiian Punch or soft drinks. |
