Perhaps a better title for this dvd might be "Best of TPIR that don't involve any of the models that were wrongfully dismissed by the cranky, horny, discriminatory Bob Barker."

Great news! Just another classic gameshow to add to my collection!
Wasn't there supposed to be a Match Game Volume 2 DVD released around the same time? |

I will pick this set up in a heartbeat. It will make a great additon to my Match Game DVD set. I've always wanted TPIR on DVD. Much thanks to BCI for making this set.

TV Shows on DVD mentions that some of the episodes included will be a few Cullen shows, Bob's first show and his final week.
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Pri...e-Best-Of/8760 I will be buying this for the Cullen episodes alone. |

Glad Bob's last week will be on there...I have the shows on home made DVD's & i have his last show on a dvd made for me by CBS, but you can never have too many!!!! I also heard that Bobs first show with gray hair will be one of the episodes, but I have not yet seen that anywhere officially

I think it would have been better to just include Bob's last episode, instead of his whole last week. I'd rather see for classic episodes than 4 newer episodes.
I'm also surprised to see Cullen episodes on here. While I'm glad I'll finally get to see them, shouldn't they have just stuck with Barker episodes? Or possibly release a set of Barker episodes, and another set of Cullen episodes? |

I have Bob's second episode with original commercials, his last dark hair day, his first grey hair day, and others. The 2nd ep features one of the few playings of the original bullseye.
possible spoiler alert.... One of the last 2 episodes I mentioned featured a miracoulous win by a horrible bidder: she was bidding on something in contestants row, I don't remember what it was, but she bid $20,000. Well there aren't even that many spaces to contain that amount. She changed it to $2,000 I believe and won her way up. She played most expensive and lost, although she would have won easily had she listened to the audience. She got to the showcase and bid $1100, although no showcase in 1987 was less than $10,000 IIRC. However, the other contestant had foolishly overbid on the second showcase, and she won with a difference of over $15,000. I think I would have collapsed on the floor in disbelief if I were Bob. |
