Default Anyone here watch "Nightly News?"

Is there anyone out there that still watches CBS, ABC, and NBC's "nightly news" broadcasts every night at 6:30? I never do. When I can see it online, instantly, 24 hours a day, there's no point in waiting all day to hear the same stuff crammed in to 30 minutes. Or there's CNN or the like where you can hear it all day (and the coverage is better).

The only people I've ever known to watch nightly newscasts are my grandparents, who always watched religiously. I'd imagine most of their audience is older people that don't have cable or internet.

I work evenings, so I'm never home during that time to watch the news. I do watch the local news at 10 PM, and read the news of the day online.

I perfer the cable news channels like CNN myself. I also read the newspaper. I used to watch Tom Brokaw when he did the NBC Nightly News.

I usually watch the first 10 minutes(with the top stories) and then turn it off or don't pay attention. I'm not as interested in the news as I used to be. Back in 2002/2003/2004 I watched cable news religiously(and even in 2005/2006 still quite a bit), but this year, with the lack of anything big happening, I barely watch anymore. But I suspect next year with the election, my interest will go up again.

Same here.

Yeah, I miss Tom Brokaw. He was the best out there. I actually watched him quite a lot. I don't like NBC Nightly News since he left.
Although the ratings aren't that great for her show, I like CBS and Katie Couric the most, probably.
