Pop singer Fergie has likened herself to Diana, Princess Of Wales - believing she appeals to the public in exactly the same way. The Fergalicious hitmaker, 32, draws the bizarre comparison during an interview with U.S. music magazine Blender - which has just crowned her Woman Of The Year.

She maintains her innate capacity to relate to people across the world echoes that of the late British royal's, whose sensitivity and charm won the hearts of millions worldwide.

She says, "People put celebrities on a pedestal and act like they're perfect. But I'm more like the people's artist - the same way Diana was 'the people's princess.' I'm a little more human than other artists. I'm not afraid to show my flaws."

I dunno why, but no matter what, whenever I see Fergie (the singer, not the ex-duchess), I always think back to the onstage photos a couple years back where she pissed herself on stage
