Thumbs up 4/22 episode

Pretty good. I was wondering how they would handle the Magda/Judge situation, and I think it was handled very nicely. I like the idea of Magda standing up to him, but the prosecutor should have believed her, and IMO was out of place accusing her of making it up. I thought it was a pretty interesting storyline though...

C.D. Whew! What in the world is going through her mind?!?! She is in deep now. With 'Simon' falsely being arrested and her not speaking up with the truth... I can't wait to see how it all plays out, because she is just getting deeper and deeper in...

Actually liked Captain for a second week in a row-definetly a new personal record for me.
It seems she might have had a hard life-raising a child on her own and such...

Angela-the less of her the better. She does play a pretty good supporting role I guess, but Lela is just not a convincing cop IMO.

Jinny-I was wondering what she was thinking taking such crap off that lady, but she got her good I was actually waiting for her to cuss her out or give her a smart mouth remark, but I like the approach she took! I gave her a standing ovation!

*I liked the Jinny/Magda partnership so far. It seems to be playing out nicely.

*I don't mind Teddy not being in every episode. I just don't think they should have built him up so high, and then not show him anymore until seasons end (if then)

*If Lela leaves after next season I don't think I'll be too heartbroken. Heck, maybe Angela and the Captain's daughter can go off together!

*I like how they are 'broadening' Jinny, Magda, C.D., and Cap's horizon for extended storylines next season.

*Pretty cool Ben's dad is coming into the picture, and I give props to the person who wrote a fic about this. You must be feeling pretty clever right about now I would be too!

I hope the season finale really builds things up! ...And I'm still waiting for that "unexpected" surprise.

Couldn't have said it better myself! But when is the season finale airing? If you tell me next week, I won't be able to sleep until it's over.

I'll take full advantage of the computer I finally hunted down on campus. Gone all weekend for a crew race, and after an agonizing 7 hour bus ride with some of the most immature guys you could ever meet, try getting online, and they won't take the password that I've had for 3 freaking years!! I feel better now!

I really liked tonight's episode. Some of you can shoot me (I thought about it a couple time today!), but it was nice to have the episode focused on someone other then Jinny because I'm really enjoying CD and Magda. The captain is also getting more and more interesting the last couple episodes. I would like to see more on her leadership issues, but I can deal with what we got now! Next week is looking interesting too! And hopefully I can be on my own computer tomorrow when I find out what happened to my password!

I totally agree! It started out my fave character was Jinny (because of Nancy McKeon)
But I think Im really getting into CD! Shes cool! Dont get me wrong I still totally love Nancy but right now CD(Tracey) is in the spotlight! Sorry all you Jinny(Nancy) fanatics! But like I said I still like her but sorry CD's my fave!
One other thing! Id like to say something to the girl who wrote the FF with Ben's dad wanting to see him. Thats amazing! I know I told ya in an IM but i still wanted to post it! Thats so amazing girl! : :

Hey guxs, where did you get all the information about the season finale and what will be in the next season? Is there an article somewhere? What's the URL?

Thumbs down

I have real mixed feelings about this episode. The stories were good and solid, which is nice to see. However, there were some things that make me question what the writers are doing.

1. Captain. She did not bother me too much this week. It's great that we are getting to know her without the presence of Capt. Jr. and Perry Mason. I liked her story. Solid.

2. Jinny having the bitch's car towed - priceless! I've had people do that to me too on the raquetball courts, although I handled it differently - I nailed the ball against the side wall so it richocetted into the person in the door. I lost my club membership. In retrospect, Jinny handled it better!

3. SHAME ON YOU WRITERS!!!!!!!! The prosecuter not believing Magda caved into so many stereotypes. I think that the viewers were already convinced that it would be an uphill battle for Magda to fight. There was no need to demonstrate that with the ADA. Also, I've known enough attorneys in my time to say this: NO ATTORNEY WOULD EVER MAKE A STATEMENT LIKE "YOU'RE A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN, BUT" I was hurling whatever I could find at the TV when he said that. Do you know how liable that makes him? Of course, any first semester law student would have known better than to have said that. Furthermore, sexual harassment is NOT about attractiveness. It is about power. I love Lifetime and all, but I guarentee you, this scene would have played out so much differently if this were not a Lifetime show. The anti-male mentality of this whole story sickens me. Congrats, writers. You have taken feminisim aback with this one. You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Lisa Vidal did an awesome job acting out this crap, however. Kudos to her.

4. I do hope that the writers have planned out C.D.'s storyline better than they did with Peter/Magda. There is NO FEASIBLE WAY C.D. can come out of this without being charged with something, let alone come out of this being a cop. I really like C.D. - she is a complex character and very well acted by Tracy Needham. But they have taken her on a downwards spiral that could only logically result in her leaving the show. I'm going to be very pissed if they brush it under the rug and give her a suspension.

Other than those points, I CANNOT wait until next week! Finally, insight into Magda!

Cool

I really liked this episode. I found myself getting a little impatient with the Cap's mother's situation. I think I was craving some more action. I absolutely loved Jinny towing away the car and Lisa Vidal should be applauded for her acting skills with the whole sexual harassment. I totally found myself drawn into that story line. I have two "ah ha" comments to make. Why did Simon act so guilty? Why did he give a false alibi? Maybe he did kill Dick, and made it look like a suicide or else he knows who did. And everyone fell for it, including CD who tried to cover up for Dick's "suicide". My second one is did anyone notice that Jinny only had two sips of her beer that whole night. Then they went to go play racket ball. I think the partnership is such a good thing for her. It gives her the support she needs. Any one else notice? What do you think? Agree, Disagree?

By the way ks it's nice to see you on the board again.

ok i guesse i am like the only one here but Angela is starting to grow on me and i really look forward to an episode about her~

CD-ok i just dont get why she is waiting so long to show the suicide note, its really confusing me...

Magda- i like her storyline and it was great acting on the part of lisa vidal~i am also happy we are going to learn more about her and her husband who left her

Jinny- hahaha cracking up in the beginning with the towing of the car...and then her with posse(sp), i think this was the first time she and the captain were actully agreeing about something...

Captain- she is becoming more tolerble and also starting to grow on me and i enjoy learning about her past and her backround and issues

Also when is the season final episode happening, in 2 weeks?(like not next week, but the week after) and any one have predictions on wht the big surprise will be...maye angela is pregeant(i hope not though)

yall know that ep was too funny...dang..that part with the bitchy raquetball lady...maaan...that was crazy...i had sorta that kinda stuff happen with bball courts, but i got guys to back me up...so u know..lol..but i think i got the type of temper where i would have just cussed that lady out man...got my ass kicked out that club..i love how jinny handled it.

the part with magda and the sexual harrassment thing was good. great actin like yall said, on the part of lisa. im glad they did a part on the division about sexual harrassment, cause that's big everywhere. they needed that.

whoa..cd is in some deep ish now...lol..i gotta see how this one gets played out...dang

i liked the part with mccafferty and her sister..they seemed really real, and its a good story line..but i can see it gettin played out too..i mean if they drag the "mom in the nursing home/livin with daughter" thing out too much

its NOT lela that i dont like, its the charactor..i think lela is an excellent actress..but the writers of the show havent' taken advantage of that quite yet. i think she'll get her time though..at least i hope she does....

can't wait til next weeks ep...we get to see magda bitch out ben's daddy..whoa!

ps... dont forget, lisa is gonna be on third watch on april 30, and doc proposes to her.

peace yall

Good to be back Graveyard!
Totally agree with your point about Jinny and her two sips of beer. I noticed that as well, and liked how Magda sorta pushed hers away and got Jinny's mind focused on something else. It's obvious Jinny has a very competitive spirit

Coily- I agree about the C.D. situation. I don't know what in the heck the writers are doing, but they are in it deep now.

I still hope that they don't kick Theodore out like they did Peter--I want that to play out some more...

"CD-ok i just dont get why she is waiting so long to show the suicide note, its really confusing me..."
Well the reason is because if she does that then she will also have to confuse about the gun and that will cost her her job.. which with all thats going on how will she keep it any way? I mean you can tell the guilt is getting to her...
SHe better not be booted off the show. I'll be MAD!
