Question What are your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day plans?

We're staying home on Christmas Eve. We're spending Christmas day with my Aunt and Uncle, and a couple of their kids. It's a very low-key Christmas this year.

Christmas Eve we're having some family over and just having a bunch of hors devours type things.

Early Christmas morning we're flying (love flying!) to New York to spend a week with my sister, brother-in-law and niece. We were all suppose to be together but my brother and his family can't make it. I use to love when they lived in New York so we could all be together (they moved to NC two years ago.) I'm sooooooo glad to be seeing my sis though And my dad's ex wife (sister and brother's mom) lives right next door so that's always a fun thing

I'm flying to Spokane on Sunday. That's all I know. Everything else is up to my folks.

mom's family on Christmas Eve at my aunts, dad's family on Christmas day at my aunts...both will consist of large amounts of people and too much for them all to drink

I'll spend Christmas Eve with my dachshund and give her her present (a peanut butter flavored chew bone).

I have to work at the motel on Christmas Day.

Christmas eve we spend with my mom and brother & sister and their families and also my uncle & his wife. Then Christmas Day I always make a big breakfast around 10 am after we open presents. Then we'll go next door to my husband's brothers house and see what the kids got for christmas. Then later we'll go over to see my husband's sister & family.

Ok, these are my plans for Christmas Eve: Having some champagne with orange juice and just relaxing, however, my youngest daughter doesn't know yet if she has to work that day or in the night, if so, I have to drive her and pick her up. My plan is to get the turkey ready around 4 a.m. and have it in the oven early enough so that it is ready to eat by noon. I am making two turkeys. The second one I will get it in the oven by 11 a.m. and have that one ready for the early evening so when family comes over, I won't be so overwhelmed trying to have two turkeys ready on time.
Christmas is my eldest daughter's birthday (her 24th) and we will celebrate by having a cake and ice cream after turkey dinner. This is our tradition.

Christmas Eve my husband and I spend at our house alone with the kids. Christmas day we go over to my parent’s house that afternoon with my side of the family. Then that evening we go over to my husband’s grandmas and spend the evening with his family.

I have absolutely no idea. I know, surprising, right? Last year for Christmas, I went out of town. Not this year... I work thru Christmas Eve morning, so the earliest I'll want to do anything in the day will be around dinnertime. I'm probably going to my maternal grandma's house and we're probably ordering out for pizza- been doing that since my grandpa died in '97. So that will be the 11th Christmas we've been doing that.

As far as I know, my sis isn't going to have time off from work until sometime in January. I don't even know about my brother - don't think he'll be making it down here to see us at all. :-/

I'll probably spend Christmas Day at home... my dad will be out of town until the 27th, so whatever. (can you tell I really don't care about Christmas this year?)

I'm not really too excited about the holidays this year either...it'll be the first Christmas where my family is completely split up (parents are separated..Mom won't go any where near my Dad).

So....Christmas Eve is probably just a light dinner. Maybe fast food of some sort (we've done Chinese in the past, so maybe that's what we'll do this year). I'll be with my friend most of the day, so dinner time will be when I spend it with my family.

Christmas day we're opening presents in the morning, then I'm heading to my Mom's house to see her for a bit with my brothers. Christmas dinner is at my Grandma's house (which is where I'm living now).

We will be at Cracker Barrel in Parkersburg for our annual Christmas Eve
brunch and then that night we will have our annual Christmas Eve feast,
then on Christmas Day we will have a Christmas dinner featuring Ham, Au
Gratin Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Cranberry Salad and Cheesecake
with an almond topping. This Christmas will be our first Christmas without
my mother-she is down in Tennessee taking care of her mother, who is
in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease and is undergoing treatment for
Malignant Melanoma.
