How do I get the sweet smell off of television DVD boxes?

I purchased several television DVD's a while back from the Borders in Westfield Annapolis. They were "Knight Rider" S1, "Mary Tyler Moore" S2, and "The Fall Guy" S1. If I recall correctly, the "Fall Guy" set had a rather sweet smell on its box. I don't know about you, but I think it's kind of annoying and unpleasant. Unfortunately, that sweet smell has spread to the fronts of other television DVD boxes of mine, such as "Hawaii Five-O" S2 and "St. Elsewhere" S1. I was just wondering if there was a way to remove the smell both from that "Fall Guy" set and from the other sets of mine that the smell has spread to.
