Default Do You Ever do Something Goofy Because of a TV Show?

I've been fighting a nasty cold since last Thursday. This morning when I got up and tried to speak my voice sounded like a teenager just entering puberty. The first thing I did was try to sing Babalu the way Ricky did when he got sick. Of course, afterwards I had to say, "That was babalousy"!

What's something fun you've said or done because of a TV show that you don't think you'd otherwise say or do?

Back in October I had the opportunity to go to the Hollywood Collectors show and I immediately knew how Lucy felt meeting the stars. When I posed with Debbie Reynolds I was flabberghasted and didn't know what to do or how to act. LOL.

when i get "nervous" or distracted while talking i tend to do the classic ethel line "eeeh, uhhhh, bu...." Like she does in Lucy wins a race horse and they get caught trying to take whirling jet. I also , when not wanting to talk about a subject, stuff my face as not to have to answer like lucy "in the million dollar idea." LOL the crazy things we do

Yes, all the time, we pick up their habits i guess. Meeting Debbie Reynolds, wow, she was a big Lucy fan and good friend of hers.

This may not be what you're really asking for, but I remember when I was no older than 3, in the early 60's, one of my favoritie cartoons was Popeye. I remember once (and it was probably more) we had spinach for dinner. I ate a lot of it only because of Popeye, then I went around the table trying to beat everybody up, pounding on everybody's back with my doubled fists .

When I was little and saw Peter Pan for the first time I remember jumping off the couch and trying to fly. Remember how they said you just had to believe and you could do it? It didn't work.

Well, i have been known to act more like KRAMER than Kramer does, LOL! Comedian Michael Richards is a fan of Lucy's by the way. If you look up GOOFY in the dictionary, my picture's there.

OMG! When I was a kid sitcoms got me into trouble all the time. I can remember hearing one of the characters on a show (I think it was 'Silver Spoons') jokingly telling another character he would kill him if he didn't do what he wanted it. I did the same thing in the third grade and the teacher didn't get the joke. Then there was the time I decided to collect for charity (me) like Ben did on Growing Pains. Punky Brewster really did a number on me. To this day I'm afraid of empty refrigerators and being abandoned at the supermarket.
