Jamie Lynn Spears reportedly pregnant - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

OK! magazine reports that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears (sister to the infamous Britney) is expecting a baby. The due date has not been revealed, but TMZ.com reports that the father is Casey Aldridge, whom Spears met at church and has been dating.

Spears recently responded coyly when asked if she was returning to her Nickelodeon TV show, “Zoey 101.” “I don’t know. I don’t know,” she told the Associated Press.

Nickelodeon issued the following statement this afternoon regarding the pregnancy, according to TMZ: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

The high school junior also told AP, “I’m going to try to graduate before I do anything else.”

Sister Britney has two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

If it is actually reported all over then it means it is true but I am glad Jamie is going to graduate high school which is the important thing

Yes it is - confirmed on Yahoo this morning and Janice says the mother has given an interview with Jamie-Lynn to OK magazine.

You'd think with the money that family now has, and the mother obviously being aware that her kids are sexually active, she might consider a trip to the doctor and the purchase of birth control???

zoey 101 may not be picked up because jamie lynn is having a baby in the summer of 2008 i think should be picked up maybe the young people who watch can learn to be carefull i wish the best for jamie lynn and people in the press should leave her alone

They finished filming the series in September before anyone knew she was pregnant.

i'm sure the show will be cancelled now...they cant write a teenage pregnancy into a Nick show LOL. most Nick shows only last 4-5 seasons anyway.

Unbelievable, though. Just think, this 16-year old role model for millions of young girls out there is having a baby. Boy, I'm sure we all knew that it would have happened sooner or later, seeing how she's Brit's sister and all.
