Default "Alice In TV Land"

This is the episode that aired Monday at 7:30... with special very special guest star Eve Arden!

An obvious edit: Tommy's on the local talk show The Martha McEntire Show with two other teens to talk about their relationships with their parents. And he mentions how Alice is a nag and that Flo is his favorite adult. We see Martha at first but the portion with Tommy talking about Flo and Alice is not seen.

I must say I'm really enjoying the show more as it continues, though I know after watching the Christmas show without her, I'll miss Flo. It's obvious by this point that the "Kiss my grits!" phrase had become immensely popular, as the audience applauded her before she was through saying it. Even the refined Martha says it.

And I don't know what it is, but I'm loving Vera's character lately more than before (but not like Tommy last week in "Vera Robs The Cradle").

When I was a kid, I used to tape the opening theme songs from various shows (guess I was ahead of the commercial release tapes ) Anyway, this was one of the ones I had, including the "Tonights Very Special Guest Star" part, back when it originaly aired.

According to imdb, yes, she was in the movie Grease. She also starred in "Our Miss Brooks" back in the 50's. She also had alot of guest spots on TV shows and was in quite a few movies.

The opening theme used for the pilot is on a musical level on it's own. No other theme for any other episode can compare to that theme

What's different about the pilot episode? In syndication, it's the same as the regular 1st season song, or did they change it from the original airing? The closing theme is a little different, but it's still basically the same song.
