I just realized the other night who plays CHARLIE...
the same actor who played the town banker on LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, Mr. Sprague!!!
  Charlie plays one of the regular diner customers. He wears a hat and is a trucker. I was like this when I came to that realization
