Singer Josh Groban has tied Elvis Presley's festive record by claiming a third successive week at number one on the U.S. album chart with a compilation of Christmas tunes. Groban's Noel scored an increase in sales to claim a third week at number one, keeping Alicia Keys' As I Am off the top.

The Eagles' Long Road Out Of Eden falls a spot to number three on the new countdown.

The highest new entry on the chart belongs to American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis, who debuts Audio Day Dream at number 10.

I just don't understand Josh's popularity. To me, he seems like the type of artist that only appeals to bored middle aged soccer mom/housewives who don't spend enough time with their husbands

That is a beautiful song.

He appeared on Oprah and sang two of the songs from his CD. My sister loved it and so I bought the CD for her as an early Christmas present. His voice is heavenly. What a talent he is.

I read the other day that Manheim Steamroller have outsold Elvis and Bing Crosby as far as Christmas music is concerned. Who would've thought?
