I am looking for odd programming from local markets around the country.
Anything odd or interesting ranging from crazy tv preachers and religious kooks to local horror movie hosts, to strange or just downright insane public access shows, to locally produced kids shows and indy channel programming to odd newscasts from your era etc.... preferably between 1975 and 1995. http://www.rarevideosfortrade.com |

I think they mean locally produced programs. For example, here in Green Bay, WCWF CW 14 airs a local show called Polka, Polka, Polka! It's a half hour of people dancing to polka music! ....I kid you not!

Does anybody have any episodes of the Flaccid Ego Pyschic Energy Reading shows? This was a public access show hosted by some guy named Clarence "CB" Walker in New York City from 2005-2009. It has to be the most consistently funny thing I've ever seen, funnier than any scripted sitcom nowadays.
It's supposed to be a show in which he gives callers something called "psychic energy readings", but the vast majority of callers are prank callers, and his reaction to them is hysterical. In the rare instance he seems to get a legitimate call, he cuts them off, berates them, refuses to do a reading and hangs up on them. Other bizarre behavior include the time he foamed at the mouth and ended the show abruptly, the odd camerawork (with just his head in the lower part of the screen), his moving his lips while other people are talking, his very strange laugh, his rants, and other oddities. Please let me know if you have *any* of this show, I'm becoming addicted to it. Thank you! Also still looking for episodes of the Merill Howard Kaelin cooking show out of Palantine, IL, especially the episode where he prepares a salad right after handling raw meat (without washing his hands) |

Man, this Clarence Walker free energy psychic reading show is almost too good to exist. Other oddities (aside from the ones I mentioned above)
-Occasionally does holiday themed episodes, such as wearing pilgrim shoes for Thanksgiving (and having a desire to market them), and coming out with toilet paper wrapped all over himself in a really bad attempt to go as a mummy for Halloween. ("I'm a mummy, ain't I scurry?"). Another Halloween he had a really bad werewolf costume. -occasionally breaking out into song, including the 227 theme. -looks spaced out most of the time. -wardrobe usually includes pink glasses, a pink turban, and a pink scarf. I have no idea what he wears most of the rest of the time since you can usually only see his head anyways. -weird pronunciation of most words. The show frequently has me in tears and laughing so hard my body hurts. |

Speaking of public access, did anyone ever see the Islamic Nubian Hebrews? Now THAT was an odd one for sure

I would kill for some episodes of Blinky's Fun Club from the 1980's...Blinky The Clown/Blinky's Fun Club was the Colorado version of Chicago's Bozo The Clown/The Bozo Show...I watched Blinky's Fun Club every morning before going to school in the early 1980's...Those were tha days!
