Question Mall Parking: Do You Circle The Lot Or Not?

We took my son to the mall a little while ago and couldn't find a close place to park. So my husband keeps driving up and down the rows for a good fifteen minutes looking for an empty spot. Which makes me want to pull out my hair. And we still had to park pretty far away from the main entrance. I'll usually go up a couple of rows and then just go on and park. So do you keep circling the lot like my husband does or do you just go on and park wherever you can?

I park far away anytime during the year. Not just at malls, but supermarkets, banks, etc.
I like walking and it's good exercise. Probably a lot of people who have to park practically in front of the door are overweight! Wonder how they got that way!?!

I disagree, I am overweight, and I have no problem parking far away and walking. I love to walk.

I usually take the first spot I find. I don't want to waste any more gas than my car already does.

yea, same here. Unless I sprained my ankle or something along those lines, I am perfectly fine with being parked 20 spots back when it's not raining/snowing

Most times, especially at work, I'm just grateful to find a parking space.

I never mind walking.

I park wherever convenient....at this time of year, that might be at the perimeter of the lot, no problems.....and worse come to worse,I can always find some spot down a sidestreet, a 20 min walk is NOTHING for me; in summer, i often take 2-4 hour walks

I think they're just referring to malls in general, not one specific one.

I just find a spot and go! I want to get in and out as quickly as possible and my SUV sucks up to much gas to even care about trying to find a close spot.

I agree. Gas is way to expensive to be so picky with a parking spot.

I admit it, I usually circle. Bit of a silly reason, though: I just love being in my car - I love driving, just about more than anything else I do - and I'd rather be in my car than in the shopping center eventually. I can't stand the places. If more time in my car leads to *one* minute fewer actually *in* the place/on foot in their parking lot, I'm happy.

Now, if I'm in such a hurry that I have to be *really* quick about it, or if I'm with others - then I just take the best spot I can get.

Ditto!! Plus, I have bad knees, so walking is sometimes painful for me.

Yes, thats the Mall we went to. Have you been to it, too?

Anyway, my husband wants to park as close to the entrance as possible no matter how many times he has to circle the lot. He's not over weight, he just wants a close space. I think its like a game to him, and finding a close parking spot is the prize.
