Default Janet Jackson is back... and this time she doesn't suck!!!

Her new song "Feedback", the leadoff single to her forthcoming album just leaked on the internet two days before it's supposed to be sent to radio. After Dupri's abortive attempt at trying to turn Janet into a Mariah knockoff with the 20 Y.O. album (thankfully, JD kept his distance from the studio this time), it's nice to hear Janet return to form. Without a doubt her best leadoff single since "All For You".

Rhythm Nation was definately her best work. You should try out The Velvet Rope tho if you find it cheap, it's the album most people generally regard as her last good album. All For You and Damita Jo were so-so, some great songs, and some crap, but 20 Y.O. was her worst album ever, and yes I count the pre-Control album because I like some stuff from Dream Street and the self-titled debut

I think Control is her best album. She had some classics on that one such as Control, Nasty, What Have You Done For Me Lately, The Pleasure Principle, Funny How Time Flies. I'm gonna have to check out her other albums. I wish she would do more uptempo party songs because it seems after Rhythm Nation album, she's done more slow songs than uptempo songs. LOL@ugly african people in Got Till It's Gone video with QTip from The Velvet Rope album.

Her acting isn't that bad either in the movies. Her character in Poetic Justice movie with 2Pac, Regina King, Joe Torry was good. LOL@scene when her and 2Pac were cursing each other out. She was also good in Tyler Perry's latest movie Why Did I Get Married.

I agree totally, Janet is best when she does more upbeat party-type songs. She has had a good mixture of slow songs and uptempo tracks on most of her Rhythm Nation albums, the big exception was last year's 20 Y.O. (or "20 Copies Sold" as many people have dubbed it since), where Jermaine Dupri tried like hell to turn Janet into Mariah Carey, and it was a weak effort all around. I don't think she has the voice to overdo slow songs, tho the ocassional ballad every now and then is nice. "Feedback" is a return to the party-upbeat Janet of the Control/Rhythm Nation days.

Remember her slow song 70's Love Groove? She gets real freaky on that song. She moans a lot on that song LOL. She moans a lot on several of her love songs. Remember her Anytime Anyplace video? There was some sexual scenes in that video. I think Janet is a freak in the bed LOL. I wish i was her man instead of Jermaine.

The song is terribly weak. But not as bad as "Call on Me," etc.

well, it's not perfect, it definately doesn't compare at all to her 80's and 90's material, but I do think it's almost a miracle to get a song this good from Janet after the past few years. Radio is already latching onto this song, I think this song will definately put her back in the top 10 for the first time since 2001. I think people have been waiting for Janet to make a comeback, but her last album was incredibly weak and "Call On Me" was not the kickass type of track that was needed to shout that Janet is back.

as much as I love Janet, this promo pic is hilarious

Robo-tramp Janet? Oh well, at least it's not another cover where she's topless and finding another clever way to cover up
