Default Night of The Ropers

I was watching the episode Night of The Ropers last night and theres something I would like to know. Why does Jack still has to pretend to be gay to Mr.Roper? Mr.Roper is no longer the landlord so Jack could kiss a woman in front of Mr.Roper and Mr.Roper could do nothing about it right? Unless Jack did tell Mr.Roper the trouth and maybe Mr.Roper did not believe he was telling the trouth. I meen Jack did tell him the trouth in the episode Strange Bedfellows and Roper did not believe him then either.

I've always wondered about that. At the end of "Anniversary Surprise" (where Roper sells the building), it almost but not quite seems that Jack lets Roper know he's not really gay, and Roper definitely says "oh, what the hell", and gives him a hug... Oh, probably the act just became second nature. Besides, Furley would go ballistic if he found out. (Furley being of course Ralph, not Bart: Bart would just raise the rent, it's Ralph whose polyester would instantly wrinkle!)

I'm thinking because Stanley could have went to Furley and told him that Jack was not Gay which would have forced Furley to throw jack out. I wondered the same thing but I realized that he could have easily went to the current landlord

That was one of my favorite episodes especially that part where Furley didn't know Mrs.Roper was in his bed and Mr.ROper said "Oh sweetheart. Here comes your poopsy woopsy" making Furley thinking "WTF" at first.

That has to be one of the funniest episodes. I loved that the Three's Company for this episode was about the landlords. Notice that this episode is the final mention of Chrissy's name.

Notice too that when Chrissy was being referenced, the Ropers either had a put down or didn't seem to care? I think that was the writer's way of telling the audience that they didn't care anymore.

That was one of my two theories. My other theory was that maybe Jack just found it amusing to continue the charade with Roper and got a kick out of how easily he could still fool him.

I would have never thought it was funny to have someone thinking I'm gay

Well neither would I, but I guess Roper's opinion of him didn't matter so he just went along with it.
