Default does anyone else still buy CD's?

I know in recent years music sales have collapsed because of the rise of illegal downloading/legal downloading/iPod's. I will be the first to admit that I download more than buy these days since an iPod is so convienient, but I also still purchase cd's by artists that I love and the sort. I sold off a lot of my cd's awhile back on ebay after I bought an iPod, but I also kept a lot of the ones I like the best because the sound quality is still better, especially if you listen to a lot of music while driving and the sort. Does anyone else still buy cd's and do the iPod thing at the same time?

The last CD I bought was the soundtrack for WALK THE LINE. Other than that, if I want a song for my iPod or player on my computer, I download, whether it is from a download service or from iTunes.

In the past two years the only CD's I bought, other than the one I mentioned above, have been hard-to-find CD's for only one song. I am an oldies fanatic and a lot of the songs that I have heard on Sirius satellite I can't find on the download service or iTunes. So, I go to this small oldies music store and order a CD that has the song I want.

It is either Sirius radio or iPod in my car. No more CD's.

I will admit I am too much of a control freak to listen to radio of any sort, if I wanna hear so-and-so, I'm gonna listen to them, haha.

However, I will admit that there are a lot of songs out there that I love to crank when I hear it, and even with an iPod adapter in the car, the sound quality won't tune up as loud as I want

The quality isn't great? Wow, that's too bad. I see no difference with my iPod. If anything, with my iPod I can hear some songs that don't sound that great. What I had to do was buy the songs from iTunes because the several songs that sounded sh*tty, were the ones I downloaded for free. Also, check your speakers, that could be the problem if it doesn't sound good for all your songs. I wonder if the quality of the adaptor might be an issue too.

I, like you, am a control freak too when it comes to music in the car. I can't stand commercials, I can't stand hearing a D.J. talking endlessly, I want MUSIC! And there are times I want to hear what I am in the mood for. If Sirius doesn't deliver, my iPod will.

All I do for music is buy CD's. I prefer them, and I hope they don't go the way of the LP's!

my iPod sounds good when I'm just listening straight from that, but when you plug it into the adapter for the car, it sounds like ****, at least it does in my car

Try and check it on someone else's car and see if it sounds the same.

It could be the adaptor if it sounds bad all the time regardless of what car you plug it into.

I once tested it on my dad's car and it sounded worse

I love going to YouTube too, especially when it comes to artists I'm not familiar with. Too bad some of the labels are too greedy when it comes to that. Like I want to see the Blake Lewis video that is supposedly so bad it's good, but everytime someone uploads it, BMG pulls it from the site. Well, how are we supposed to see the damn video? it's not like VH1/MTV will play a video

Oh wow, it really could be the adaptor then. My daughter's friend had an adaptor but when I went to buy the same one, my daughter told me not to buy that one because it didn't sound very good when she used it in her car. So I spent more for another one. I have no idea if that makes a difference.

There has been absolutely nothing released in many years that I want, so no. Last CDs I remember buying were in 97 or 98.

I still buy CDs. I'm old school when it comes to music. I have no interest in downloading.
