Default Has anyone ever peeked/opened a Christmas present?

When I was 10, I couldn't wait til Christmas day. One day when no one was home, I just got home from school and I knew no one would be home for two hours, so I decided to peek at some of my gifts. I got the tape ready so I could re-wrap them quick! I checked three gifts and was so excited at what I had. Bad girl!

Since i didnt believe in Santa and knew where my presents came from since I was about 3, I would play detective.... by the weight , shape , rattling the box, I was right 90% of the time....I got so good my parents started DOUBLE wrapping everything in new boxes and adding stones or w/e for extra weight, didnt work though! (They only stopped when i outgrew the detective thing)

I could write a 'How To' book. I think the better question is Who hasn't peeked?

I've peeked a couple of times, I admit it.

One year, my brother and I teamed up to go look for our presents. Didn't work, b/c we never found anything. LOL I think our parents used to store them at our grandparents' house. We sort of gave up after that.

I did used to do the guess by size thing, though, till my mom started putting everything into one big box.

I can honestly say that I have never peeked or opened any of my Christmas gifts growing up. I love being surprised when opening presents, plus I was just plain afraid that my parents would find out if I did open them.

I don't think I've ever peaked before. Shaked, rattled, the whole nine yards, but I am the worst person ever at guessing that stuff. I like being surprised too, so that helps.

Haha, I know! I would've done OK w/ the guessing by size, except I could never seem to keep my mouth shut. I'd be like, "I know that's a DVD!" So my mom finally got tired of it and started putting all my DVD's, CD's, books, etc. into a big box so I can't guess. It annoys me, too, b/c we take turns opening presents, and the big box counts as a turn, so I have to wait to open anything inside the box!

On the advice of my counsel, I'm going to say no.

But if you don't want people peeking, don't put presents in those fun little gift bags where someone could easily peek by simply lifting the wad of decorative tissue covering the gift inside.

I'm just saying...

I didn't really peek that much.

Alright alright... I did. Occasionally.
