CAR 54 a drama??? Odd, when I watched that show every week--during
its original run (1961-1963)--it was hysterically funny! I don't know what
cop show you're thinking of .. but CAR 54, WHERE ARE YOU? was definitely
a comedy (and a darn funny one, too).

Whoops, my bad...lol.

The title name sounded like a drama or something, because I remember wtaching reruns of this show and I was too young to remember how funny this show was.

TV

GOMER PYLE belongs in the '60s list (it debuted on Sept. 24, 1964). It was a spinoff of THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW (which didn't begin until Oct. 3, 1960).

THE ODD COUPLE premiered on Sept. 24, 1970. So, yes, it was a '70s show.
